Piano Smithfield

My husband and I visited here for piano bar requests on the Saturday of our honeymoon and have both agreed that it was the highlight of our time in London. The atmosphere was friendly, the music and the blending of the requests made for an excellent night out. We didn't realize that you were meant to pre-book but the staff were able to squeeze us in which was greatly appreciated! We're planning to come back to London in August and are already planning our return visit to Piano Smithfield. If you are looking for a fun night out, this is the place.

Great live jazz basement bar.laid back and chilled,easygoing...I looved it,it reminded me slightly of the 606 in lots rd.although 606 was an institution,Piano has the same 'come as you are',laid back sort of feel. They have monthly live music schedule,I believe most of it-free I loved it,and I'd go down anytime.If you're about,do the same!

After years of going no past and not only going in once previously for drinks but couldn’t stay for the live music. Finally popped by and had a great night at the Vin’s Night In with some amazing musicians who I’m happy to listen to again live. Shame about the end when an intoxicated group came in and started to talk really loudly over the live music. But nevertheless, still had a great time and was lovely to have an interactive evening where they had a drawing competition along side the live music and some jokes. I hope they continue running and bringing in the artists. Love live music because we hear the emotions of the artists when singing their songs. They have a lovely selection of drinks and cocktails, which we very much enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and attentive too, checking if anyone needs to order. Also happy to accommodate for those that turned up early for a drink. They have pizza ordered in with a local place and although I didn’t have any they did look and smell delicious! So maybe something I’ll try next time! Thank you and keep it up guys!

Not quite ready to trundle home after taking in a recital at the nearby Barbican I pulled Mummy Debra into this basement bar by Smithfields. We had expected tinkering piano, tables with table lamps and soft chatter. Full of young humans it was lively and far from tinkery. But it was fun. The young crowd were mostly actors and seemed to be having an open mic session of singing and instrument playing. A number of lovely young ladies took a fancy to me and did things to me I should probably not mention on here! Drinks are reasonably priced and service friendly.
