Al Maskoof Al Iraqi Restaurant

You know those restaurants that are always full, full, full of people having a great time because it's just so good? Well this is a shining example of such a place. The food was stellar having asked the attentive maitre house to just bring us the good stuff. So good. And we all got a tour of the kitchen to meet the brigade and marvel at the authenticity of the cooking methods. Just go.

This is my second time but the first time was better than this time as this time my friend couldn’t enjoy her meal as she was looking forward to eat red rice with lamb but she couldn’t eat it this time then instead she ordered something else because the rice was cooked with ghee instead of oil as it used to be. I suggest you should inform/ask your customers if they are allergic before serving them the food. However, Iraqi tea was perfect and okra soup too.

I was in London for a few days holidays earlier this year and I always wanted to try Iraqi food and after a few reviews of local Iraq restaurants I decided on this restaurant! I was a female on my own but I was made feel very welcome and the dinner was just absolutely amazing!!! The prices were very reasonable too! A few years ago, my family and I started regularly visititinf Almaskouf whenever we are in London. The standard is always excellent. Every single time, we order the speciality, which is the large fish in advance. It is grilled on wood from an orange tree with a pomegranate glaze on top. The other numerous other dishes are also tasty. The service is excellent and everyone there is extremely kind and respectful. It is priced extremely reasonably. Thank you!
