Always try and get off at New Cross Gate and eat here if possible. Down to earth, no frills which is how it should be. Jerk chicken amongst the best.

Delicious items throughout the entire menu, efficient and friendly staff, affordable pricing all within a convenient location. Being of Jamaican parentage, I quite literally grew up on this cuisine, so I can convey, with no hesitation, that eating here, whether dining in or ordering to take out, is a great experience overall of which I HIGHLY recommend. 👍👍

The food here is amazing I went here yesterday with my daughter and orderded curry goat and rice and some chicken soup. You get a welcoming service with a smile the man in there was lovely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Just got delicous jerk chicken, rice and peas from here. Served by a very friendly young guy. People giving it 1* are probably expecting some gentrified hipster experience rather than authentic proper food.

This place does some awesome jerk chicken and at very good prices. Used to get it most days after work and sad that I don’t live there anymore.
To all the entitled clowns who say it’s bad customer service, just relax. Why are you expecting so much? It’s good food and good price and you still complain.
Just enjoy and if you need someone to smile at you then go and see your friends.
It’s authentic Caribbean food and we’re lucky to have it. Have the jerk chicken and rice and it’s good every time.

My partner and I were looking for some real, homemade Caribbean food and came across Cummin Up. Having walked past it a few times, and seen it on Deliveroo we thought we'd try it. So good! Very tasty, good portions, lots of flavour and great prices. Would highly recommend.

You can get tea for 30p.
Tried the Jerk fried rice which was tasty but it would have been nice if it was less salty.

Sometimes great, but suffers from an unfortunate crepuscular transmogrification; when we’ve visited during the day, the food was great and prices were a bargain; in the evening though, quality and service decreases whilst prices increase tenfold. Hence recommend a daytime visit. We’ve only ever had the vegetarian items, which were excellent. In our experience, staff were brusque and not given to small-talk, but otherwise fine. The toilet at the back has a vista of the train tracks below which brings to mind scenes from the film The Ladykillers (1955).
