EDIT: Once, I could could get through to them over the phone, we rectified the issue quite swiftly. I was impressed by their politeness and prompt action - the opposite of the initial experience. Turns out it's worth giving a second chance sometimes. I placed an order for dinner via a third party app. I have not received half of my order. I told the delivery gentleman who said he cannot do anything about it, I need to call the restaurant. I tried to contact the restaurant, but nobody answered the phone number given via the app or on their own website. The app's customer service could not help sort my issue as Kata Japanese @Brouhaha has never marked my order as complete (note I am writing this review 24 hours later as I could still not get through to the restaurant and the app still cannot do anything, because my order is still not marked as delivered). So a day later, have not received half of my dinner for last night or a refund for its price. This is not great service from either of the companies. I am beyond disappointed (and was hungry as well last night...).

I have been ordering at kata for several months (basically since lockdown). Delivery were always super fast and free. Food is good but I'm giving 5 stars instead of 4 for the service which is one of the nicest around as they always took in considerations my requests giving me also free sides even without reaching the normal threshold of £25 spent. About the actual food, I have tried several dishes. -My favourite is the unagidon. I have also tried unagidon in many other restaurants and this is one of the best. The downside is that it is quite small, not enough to fill you despite the price. - Sushi, not much variety for the sushi offered. in terms of quality, it is fairly average. They don't have uramaki. Despise in the picture of maki they look like uramaki, they are actually futomaki (the big ones with seaweek outisde). Didn't particularly enjoy the deep fried ones as too heavy. But classic hosomaki are alright - bento boxes. Both chicken and salmon are katsu curry. Size of the bento is good and they taste good. I would preferred if there were more bento to choose from. - agedashi tofu. Love it and highly recommended - gyoza, both the vegetables and chicken gyoza are alright. Although I'm not particularly a fan of deep fried gyoza - muso soup is alright

I've been going to them for takeaways for several years and the service has always been good. They are not the cheapest but the quality of the sushi and curries is excellent. Delivery is prompt even in bad weather and at busy times of the day. I had a mistake with an order once when only 1 beer was delivered instead of the 4 I'd ordered, this was sorted with a call to the restaurant and 4 beers were delivered straight away at no extra cost 🙂

Let me start by saying the food is 5 star! Not one single complaint there. I have had three different versions of Chicken Katsu Curry and by far this is the best! The Prices are amazing! I paid £21 for two Katsu curries and Ebi katsu. As far as the venue.... bare with it. The pub looks broken and run down, you will want to run away (I nearly did). The main door takes you into a small bar which may be a little rowdy so if you stick to the small door to the left you'll be slightly less daunted. Also just a heads up that the pub and restaurant have separate tills. The bar will take your drinks order (slightly expensive) and the food will be done with someone else. PLEASE do not pass up based on the area and the pub. GOOD LUCK! :)

I had never heard about this place but my mate suggested we pop in as the pub which it is based in would be showing the football and it had ''great Japanese food''. I was sceptical to say the least but I was blown away. We bought a sushi and sashimi platter to share and it was very fresh. I was surprised in all honesty. I had a Prawn Torpedo Roll that was incredible. And all this hidden away on West Green Road?! I needed a bit more substance so ordered a Katsu Curry. Again I didn't expect much, but it wipes the floor with anything Wagamama's do. The portion was great! The sauce was addictive and the breaded chicken tender with a whole load of rice. I was so impressed I realised it delivered free to areas nearby in North London. I've since last week ordered again. Decided as it was an evening to just get hot food which included Soba noodles, THAT Katsu Curry and some Torpedo Rolls for others to sample and they were not disappointed.
