Ocean Fish Bar

I love this fish and chip shop. We have been ordering and eating from here for over a year. I always order king prawns meal with chips and salad. They always make me a garden salad as I can’t get peppers (normally served with Greek salad). Food is super tasty and the portions are a good size. My BF normally has haddock which he says is delicious. I highly recommend this fish bar.

Love, Love, Love this Chippy. Friendly staff, Fast service when you turn up and order. And your food is Always ready on time when you place a telephone order. What I was impressed with is that they put their Customers at to the fore with Fish Meals selling at Market price so I guess not much profit if any is being made. Parking is easy too which is always a bonus these days. And yes they do delivery too. Brilliant. I won't go anywhere else and I dont think you will either.

Fantastic chip shop - we're so lucky to have this place. Fish is always beautifully cooked and the their batter is the best - even after getting home (ten-mins away) the batter is still super crispy, I don't know how they do it but it's absolutely top notch. The team is great too, all very friendly and nice to chat to.

I've been to this place a few times now and tried several different things. Everything has been excellent. In particular, the fried fish is fresh and crispy, and the chargrilled dishes are always cooked to perfection. Some of the specials are great value as well. Great food, friendly service. I'm glad I live so nearby; I'll definitely be back to try some more things on the menu.

If you're after quality then this is your place. We ordered 3 haddocks, 1 cod, 2 portions of chips, mushy peas, and the curry (amazing!) and tartar sauces (amazing again!) and although it's a little pricier than your average chippie, it's well worth it. The portions are generous, everything was beautifully presented and seemed very fresh. It was the first time for us and it certainly won't be the last.

I was out cycling and fancied some chips, I left my bike outside and opened the door of the Bar and asked for "Medium Chips" to be eaten outside. When they were ready, they called me to collect them inside and I realised they had cooked cod and chips. We misunderstood each other with the owner, and I am not a native speaker, so there is a good chance that I had my share of responsibility in not asking clearly what I wanted. The owner and the lady behind the bar were extremely kind and only charged me for the "medium chips" and I paid £2 for the chips and £0.90 for the can of Coke. The chips were extremely tasty and while I was eating I was still feeling sorry for what happened. It was only while I was finishing to eat, that is also occurred to me that this was a very generous portion indeed!!! Excellent service, good food, nice tables to eat outside. Highly recommended.
