As you wade through the sea of average bars Shoreditch now features, full of loud people not from London, who've got dressed up for their night out, The Bricklayers Arms is an absolute haven. The kind of warm local that also welcomes nice incomers. As the Lighthouse Family plays loudly across the bar, sung by several groups, you'll feel like it's your local too.

Very good pub for drinks, does a nice Guinness and sun sets along the road. I don’t believe there’s food sold here

Good pints, bathrooms are a bit rough but it's a great place for a post-work pint or three. 6.60 for a pint seems around the average.

It's been 33 years since I last visited the Brickies and it hasn't changed.
I use to drink here every Friday after work in an area that was predominantly closed at weekends. It has always had life and soul and that hasn't changed.
Beer was good, atmosphere great although I left as the early evening came rolling in.
Nice to be back

A surprisingly good pub considering the madness and commericalization of Shoreditch around it. That may in fact be its best feature — it is a safe bastion when the queues are too long or you're not getting in anywhere else.
There are some decent ales too, with their own glasses to boot. I respect that quite a bit. It's worth a visit on its own.

gem of shoreditch. hope this place never changes - great pub, decent pints, good craic on a thursday. go somewhere else if you want a fancy place with truffle fries. great turkish manager as well 🇹🇷
