Full of intimacy and charm, with knowledgeable staff and a niche but appropriate selection of wines.
The hanger steak was sensational (the quince garnish elevated) it as was the artisanal bread that preceded it. Interesting but accessible menu.

Just amazing. These types of little restaurants are my favorite : seasonal food, original flavor mixes, excellent wine (i recommend the sparkling chenin). I had a lovely experience and cannot wait to come back when I’m back in London.

A nice countertop restaurant in the heart of Soho. We had bread and butter, market pickles and labneh for starters. They were all quite good with bigger portions than normal. Butter was especially our favourite.
For small plates, we ordered fried romanesco, spiced beetrots, raw trout and leeks. Our favourite was definitely the leeks.
Nice selection of wines and cosy&warm atmosphere inside (entrance foor bar). Last but not least their orange wine is worth trying.

Finding a quiet and intimate place to eat in Soho can be difficult, so I was intrigued to finally visit Ducksoup - especially after hearing so many glowing reviews from many foodies.
We sat at the bar which was a great spot to see all of the action and the wines. We were lucky to have a good menu on the day we visited as it rotates frequently. The standout dish was the rotolo pasta with sage butter sauce and girolles.
Overall, we were very glad to have a new and different dining experience to everywhere else we’ve visited in Central London. The service was very friendly and they helped us to pick out our wines as we had never tried natural wines before. My only recommendation would be to make the wines/terms used a bit more accessible - not everyone who visits will be a connoisseur…!
Another slight critique is the portioning/pricing - our bill after 2 ‘large plates’ and 2 ‘small plates’, plus 4 glasses of wine came to over £175 for 2 people. For the simplicity of the dishes and portioning, I’m not sure if I could consider it reasonable (a few chunks of fried aubergine were £13), considering we’ve been to ‘fancier’ restaurants nearby for less.
That being said, it’s still a lovely place and also v romantic!

Very tiny restaurant. We have tried to book a table but unfortunately the only space left was at the bar. It did feel tight and not a lot of privacy. But saying that the food was excellent. Quite an interesting combination of flavours, we have tried delicious dishes. There is a good selection of wines as well.
The staff were attentive.
Recommended.

Cosy little wine bar with delicious sharing plates. Staff were extremely knowledgeable about the wine list and very attentive throughout the evening. Make sure to book ahead as we saw a lot of walk-ins turned away on the night!

The overall atmosphere of the place is great. Despite of being placed in the bustling area of Soho it was very calm. The wine I selected was tasteful but sharing a bottle would be less expensive.
The food we shared was very tasty.
The portions even for the small dishes were well proportioned.
However, the prices are on the higher side so keep that in mind.
Overall, we would return to share a bottle of wine and accompany it with good food.

Lively hip and intimate ambiance. Everyone’s like family and it really translates on to the personal and fun service. How cute that they’ve set up a record corner/ collection that each leaving staff leaves as a memorbilia.
Generally great and inventive small plates, cheese platter, and natural wine and other drinks selection.
Great for: dates, small groups 2-3
Rating: 4.5

Dimly lit, cozy, and small spot for tapas style food with wine.
To start, we got the sardine ragu, pollack, mushroom polenta. All of them were pretty good. The sardine ragu didn't have a strong fishy taste. The texture was similar to a gnocchi. The pollack was kind of like sashimi with slices of potato on top. It was fine, but not something I'd get again. The mushroom polenta was my favorite of the night. I also love polenta. The polenta was thick and savory. The mushrooms gave it a perfect umami flavor.
For mains, we got the Ray fish and the beef. The Ray was really different to any other fish I've had. It was soft, but also had a lot of bones. The beef was okay. It came with tiny potatoes and tomatoes which were again fine.
Overall, it was a quick (ish) place to get dinner. It has a wine bar feel, and generally good food. I wouldn't come here for the wine. The wine by the glass was just okay. The most full bodied wine they had was a Gamay for our beef, and it was still quite light.

We visited Ducksoup recently and were completely in love by the time the bill arrived.
The service (big shout out to Rina, who is an absolute dream ), the food and the general cozy ambiance was enough to convince us to come back again and again.
I highly recommend this place to anyone that truly enjoys flavour, cooking creativity and fantastic service.
