For me it's there best fish and chips I've had, certainly in London if not ever. The fish is fresh and the batter crispy, the tartare sauce is also homemade, as far as I can tell, and absolutely delicious. Battered sausage is proper sausage with real meat and the black pudding fritters are also high quality. The only potential issue I could see for most people (given that the prices are also very reasonable), is that the chips are not very much like standard fish-and-chip-shop chips. They are also crispy, like the batter. You can add salt and vinegar of course but some people might find it too different. I personally prefer this style which is one of the reasons I really like the food here.

A lovely place for fine dining and classic fish and chips. I had the halloumi and chip. Really good veggie dish alternative. Also beautiful batter around the halloumi!

We haven’t eaten inside the restaurant, but have had takeaway fish and chips quite a few times. The layout is similar to the previous fish and chip restaurant that was here, but the decor is a great improvement, much brighter and nicer and the staff are now really friendly and inviting. Highly recommended and look forward to eating in one day although with a two year old toddler it’s mainly takeaway (although they give her crayons and colouring sheets while we’re waiting).

Went there for a birthday meal with the little ones. The fish and chips were delicious. Fried squid exceptional. And the vegan fish, a battered fried jackfruit, managed to have the consistency of salted cod and taste not too bad. The only downside is if you have a party of over 5 adults you will struggle to be on one table.
