I am very picky when it comes to Indian but this place is surprisingly decent. They do a really good vindaloo that actually has flavour and a good amount of heat to it, and their naga jalfrezi has lots of both as well! It's so nice to see an Indian which doesn't skimp on the heat BUT which also has a good amount of taste to it as well.
They're not that local to me but I'll be back and make the effort - also special thanks to them for keeping my wife's headband for three weeks after she left it there on my birthday!

Excellent food and service in a spacious modern settings. Samosas are freshly prepared; excellent chicken cuts and spices are very authentic .My partner and I are regulars at this location; we sold our house that was within a 5 min walk last year. We are now 40 min away but still enjoy meals In restaurant when we can.

Stopped here on a whim and am so glad we did. Delicious food with a range of flavors and an attentive and helpful waitstaff. Highly recommend!

A very special place to eat. Food was on point which was matched by the hospitality and energy. We tried a variety of dishes including the Grilled platter, Achari duck and King prawn tikka masala. A dish which was recommended by the owner was Satkora ghost and it did not disappoint- tender pieces of lamb in a mild lime sauce was simply divine.

Popped in on a Monday evening, the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was flavourful and delicious. I would recommend this as a nice place to go for a tasty curry. 👍👌👍

Awesome Indian cuisine, from management to waiting staff, professional to the core. The best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Authentic and tasteful. I have given 5 stars because the food is excellent, the service is excellent, it’s good value for money and has a lovely vibe- go check it out!

We tried this place for first time yesterday and it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is nicely laid out with modern fittings, the service friendly and the food was delicately flavoured. I’m quite fussy about curry houses but Spice Island def gets my vote. The owner also offers a personalised touch, getting to know your preferences and being genuine. A good curry restaurant in east London, at last!
