Truly Indian

After visiting The Shard in May, we were hungry from the beautiful sunset we did a quick search and found that Truly Indian was nearby. It was on the way back to our hotel so we stopped by. We ordered three main dishes and they were each hearty and flavorful, just enough of a spicy kick to remind you it was indian food. The place was well maintained and had good service. btw.... they don't charge for regular water in case you are an american and want to know.

If you love your daal and chicken, this is a great place to be in. The Daal bukhaara was very consistently done and sumptuous; and the Butter naans were a delight to have it with. We also ordered Chicken Saag waala (chicken in spinach gravy) which again was nicely done. I belong to Delhi where these are standard fare when eating out Mughlai cuisine, and I must say the flavours were quintessentially Indian. For starters we ordered Chilli chicken and Gobhi (Cauliflower) Manchurian. Good enough. But I would return here for the Daal Bukhaara :) ! Ambience and service were OK ... but could do with some improvements.
