Kimchimama

Came here for a quick lunch from work as I was craving KFC and I got my craving fixed very nicely. The restaurant is run by Koreans so as soon as I stepped in and spoke Korean with them I instantly got greeted back in Korean with a smile from the staff. I went with a small sweet chilli KFC and the portion was quite big although I wouldn't say it's value for money as it's quite pricey compared to Bunsik near Charing Cross station. The batter was not too thick with big chunks of chicken meat, tender and juicy. Sauce was a little dense on its own but the refreshing salad did balance it out. Just before I left the restaurant a staff member recommended me to try it with rice next time which would make a lot of sense with the sauce. Service was fantastic, polite and friendly staff who made me feel welcome. Would love to come back soon and try the cupbap and bibimbap next time. A really nice quick lunch spot close enough to work in walking distance.

The staff were so lovely and friendly, saying hello to everyone who walked in the door! We ordered on self-service tablets and then sat on the few tables they have inside. Many people came by for takeaway too! The combo tobokki (£10.50) was tasty and spicy! Also very filling (despite looking like a bit of a small portion).

So so yummy! Had a beef bibimbap takeaway. Generous portion of meat n super flavourful! Worth the price point and will definitely drop by to try other dishes again Updated: Went back to try something else on the menu - got the soy garlic KFC. Not the glazed chicken kind. But generous portion of chicken and value for money! Taste good too

I can understand why this small restaurant gets so many good reviews. The food here is really nice, flavorful and aromatic. I highly recommend the tofu soup and bibimbap. The owner (or the chef), which is an approximately 40-year-old man, was super friendly and welcoming. The only thing I wish that would be upgraded is the space, as it’s quite small, and it’s easy for your clothes to catch the food smell when you have a meal there.

The food is absolutely delicious, with generous, filling portions. I had the tofu and it was possibly the best tofu I've ever eaten. The rice and sauce were really tasty and the pickled veg nice on the side too. The staff were friendly and welcoming and found out about allergens for me and made recommendations based on my dietary requirements.
