Bund Restaurant

Very satisfied dining experience for modern Chinese cuisine. The venue is rather small but thoughtfully decorated. The food menu was awesome and it offers home made roast duck (Peking duck). Most half decent Chinese restaurants would just order them in or get them frozen and cook crispy duck (deep fried) so the meat quality is less relevant. The menu on offer is not the cheapest but the quality of the dishes justifies the price tag. I ordered dry beed ho fun (noodle) and the beef they served me was slices of sirloin! Quite amazing if you ask me. The Dung Bo pork dish was rather tender and tasty. It was cook to perfection! Please check my photos and you will see. Manager Andy is rather welcoming and talkative. Nice chat with him and I highly rate this place. Thumbs up from me!

The "Bund" restaurant doesn't serve food made from ready sauces from Chinese supermarkets. You get some of the 'classics' like black bean sauce, hoisin duck or a Thai curry, but most importantly it's freshly cooked, and you can taste that they choose good ingredients (ofc without flavour enhancers). The taste was really there and very clear and intense on every single dish we tried. We had dim sums and an exceptional soup, fried lotus and some more. My highlight was the braised pork belly, slow cooked and very tender. The menu is very exciting and contains many dishes you won't find everywhere. This was the best Chinese food we've had for ages (I tried a lot). The owner is really caring and pleasant, and we liked the way the restaurant had been decorated, with tasteful old Chinese food adverts, and every single item, like the tea cups or spoons showed the attention to details. Just a very enjoyable environment in which you'll have a great evening.

For a long time I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in North London and I finally found one! Me and my husband had dinner here last night and everything was so well prepared. We ordered korean fried chicken wings and spring rolls as appetizers. King prawn pad thai and Malaysian beef curry for main course. And the fried banana as dessert. Everything was delicious! I definitely will be coming back go try out other dishes as well.
