Leon Jubilee Place Canary Wharf

This store is fantastic. The staff are wonderful I cannot thank them enough for their kindness shown towards me, I have a disability and I’m in a Wheelchair and they’ve been so accommodating I would like to come out Kasha Vanessa Veronica Francisco, Hemali, Nathan Hannah, and janitul ( he’s a Bangladeshi man sorry, I don’t know his name !) it is my preferred, Coffee Shop Canary Wharf bless them all including the kitchen staff. The food is wonderful always fresh, thank you to the team x

There are two branches located in Canary Wharf. I prefer this one. Nice seating. Staff are generally pleasant and friendly. Branch was clean. I went early on a Friday evening. Not too busy. Easy to order on the application or via the automated things. Once done, go to the counter and collect. I had the Jerk Chicken Mezze which is really good. A nice spicy protein hit. Loved it. My issue was, which is often the case with Leon and another reviewer has commented the same, is that food is always lukewarm, cold. Do you not heat food? Even if you order porridge or anything, it is always cold or lukewarm. My chicken was cold! They brand themselves as naturally fast food but maybe it should be naturally half-filled cold food. Paying £3.99 is a lot for a small pot. At least fill it up. Prices at Leon have gone up more than competitors especially given the stingy and always half-filled portion sizes. The food, service and ambience of the restaurant were fine otherwise. Free, fast wifi. Good choice of options including those that follow a vegan diet.

Ordered a satay chicken ricebox for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and there were no queues as the ordering system is via large screens before the till. The ricebox was tasty, a fair amount of chicken and brown rice covered in peanut sauce. A quick easy meal that was fairly filling. You have to pick up your own cutlery. I believe there is limited seating inside the restaurant to the side of the entrance.

This is a lovely restaurant. After being away for almost two years due to the pandemic, it was a pleasure to come back here. I had the Love Burger, which was absolutely excellent. It’s completely vegan and is made with their Love Burger sauce, which is so nice that I bought a bottle of it from the supermarket to use for home cooking. The only criticism is that the Love Burger is extremely messy and quite difficult to eat with it remaining in one piece. They also have touch screens directly in front of the till to take orders, instead of just taking orders in person, which was a bit odd. Despite that, this place is excellent, it has a great look and I’d definitely come back.
