An incredible meal! The food was delicious and made to perfection. If you don't have a lot of experience with Nigerian food their menu gives great detail, including a QR code you can scan to see pictures and read further about the dishes. When making our reservation, we mentioned that my partner had an allergy to nuts and they brought out a whole index showing which items contained different allergens. That was amazing.

Came here with a dear friend recently and honestly cannot wait to come back.
We shared 8 tapas / dishes between 2 people and it was more than enough. We had their dodo, quinoa jollof, lamb, egusi, rice pancakes, suya meatballs, moi moi.
It was super flavourful and a wholesome meal. Every dish was delicious!!!!! Customer service was good too and the atmosphere in there is really nice. The interior also really added to the vibe.

I really liked the small plates idea. This meant that we were able to sample most of the menu. The food was tasty and well presented. Some of the dishes were a bit on the sweeter side, like the Sinasir (rice pancakes). The moi moi was probably my favorite though.
Another nice thing is that the menu isn't meat-heavy, more than half is vegetarian or vegan. There are also many gluten free options. Service was very friendly and really quick. I would definitely recommend booking since it's popular and not that big.

We absolutely loved our anniversary dinner at Chuku's. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Our personal favourites were the meat balls and dumplings. We also enjoyed the signature cocktails.

catered at an event hosted by CAMHS in Hackney. I was pleasantly surprised by this tapas style Nigerian food. I am British born Caribbean and I love Nigerian food butit is nice to have a healthier alternative to rice (quinoa jollof) and a variety of dishes for the palette.
If you have set your mind for a typical Nigerian dish, it would be best to go to a traditional Nigerian restaurant. If you appreciate the beauty of fusion that comes from living in multi-cultural Britain authentic this is for you. It is a pleasant, tasty spicy and new take on Nigerian food. Very exciting!
It would not be fair to comment on service and atmosphere and it was not their restaurant but they were paid to cater at this event but I'm looking forward to visiting the restaurant with friends soon 😀

Despite reviews it wasn't full for Sunday lunch. Fantastically tasty food. Really interesting flavours and ample choice for veggie, vegan and omnivores! Don't like cloves but the non alcoholic cocktail with it was delicious and not as sweet as the Chapman cocktail. Some dishes quite spicy - nothing too much though. 3 dishes each shared was fine. Meal deal good value if you're ordering meat dishes, otherwise choose off menu. Veggie deserts lovely too, 3 (one of each available) between 4 was fine. Free water throughout.

CHUKU's.. I was not ready o! The food, the service and the vibe is spot on. The high life music coming through the speakers as you sip on palm wine.. love it! The Sunday all in brunch was the best choice because you guys be serving up a storm. The fried plantain tossed in cinnamon sugar and coconut? Pheww.. one time for your pastry chef because lord knows did not expect the yam brownie and chin chin cheesecake.. yes! You did that! Una weh done o! And thank you for elevating our cuisine the way you have done! 🎯🥳👏🏾🙌🏾

Managed to get a walk-in table and highly recommend - all of the food was delicious (I would say that even if you think you can handle spice well, be ready to be humbled by the scotch bonnet!) Vibes were really cute, the staff were lovely and will definitely go back.

The food here was absolutely delicious. It comes tapas-style - as it's ready on small plates. We had the chin chin to start, followed by the jollof quinoa, suya meatballs, moi moi, yam croquettes, dodo, chicken ata din din and caramel kuli kuli chicken, and finally the plantain waffle for dessert. Everything was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
The atmosphere and service were also great. We loved the music and the decor. Service was friendly, helpful and quick.
Would highly recommend a visit to Chuku's!

If you like the combination of sweet and spicy, that's a go to. Though 40 Pounds for one person seems a little pricey.
Food: Small tapas portions, good to try out. I would have wished there were more options of things not sweet - almost every dish is eather flavored with honey and chilli sauce, or uses sweet ingredients (beans, paprika, corn). I ended up with 3 tapas more or less sweet and spicy - I'd have loved to try different taste combinations.
Service: Nice, helpful, attentive.
Ambiente: Loved thr vibrant colours! Maybe not suitable for people seeking privacy when full.
