Fusion Sushi

Had sushi for lunch here yesterday. The restaurant is in a nice little plaza area. The restaurant is decorated very nicely very authentic vibe. I love how it made you feel you were really eating at a Japanese sushi restaurant in old japan. The server was very nice very polite. They have buy one specialty roll get one half off. The rolls were a bit pricey but good sizes. The poke bowls were a good size as well and everything tasted fresh and made to order. I would recommend this place for sure if you want sushi in Long Beach!

Service: 4-5 Decor: 5-5 Food: 4-5 Ambience: 5-5 They offer a buy one get one 50% off which is great. The flavors of everything were great. Refills were a bit slow though it wasn’t busy. Improvements - the presentation was lack luster on the round plate, bite size was to big on the special rolls (the generic rolls were great) spicy tuna in my opinion was great but everyone else thought it was to spicy. Overall a great place though!

The place is really nice and clean from inside. It’s something you wouldn’t expect if you just pass by it and look at the outside. Really cozy and the staff really friendly. We had Kate and other staff attending us. It’s really nice to see the crew communicating and being organized. They have the sushi bar and also tables that look and feel as if you were in a little Japanese setting with dimmed lights. I think it’s a nice romantic place for couples to go and have dinner. My sister and I had a good time and the food was pretty good. Only thing I didn’t like much was the portion of the sashimi. I’ve been to other sushi restaurants and they offer more sashimi for the value. The quality of the sashimi was really good though I would still recommend it overall because of the staff, atmosphere and quality of food. It’s a nice little gem that deserves to be given a chance.

Wonderful selection of fishes I've never heard of before like Escolar and Sea Bream. Lots of special rolls and then many non-fish options for my boyfriend. (who doesn't like raw fish but still wanted to treat me cause I love it) The menu is extensive, phone service is fast, and the outdoor seating is well shaded and clean. Waitlist for small parties, first come first serve. Went around 6pm and were fidst on the list with no issue! They do take reservations but not same-day reservations and only allow it for large parties or business events. The bathrooms are open to guests.

I love the interior and the booths. Food is good, generous. My only comment is there should be a little more training with servers. They are kids who don't have that warmth of greeting you or checking on your table now and then. As if their last job was working in a busy burger joint. You will need to get their attention. Go to Kabuki Cerritos and you will see the difference. Polite, confident and aim to make you enjoy your dine in experience.

Well unfortunately my friend and I went there last nite and I ordered a Bento box w shrimp shumai and calif rolls which I have had many times b4. Well the shrimp Shumai for some reason crusted on bottom and calif rolls tasteless. After trying to eat 1 shrimp I told waiter to take that dish back to kitchen,never heard from anyone re this issue, so in essence I ate 2 grapes and one bite of sad salad on plate. We go there frequently so something changed and it will b a good while b4 I return. The waiter shud have shown what I sent back to a mgr.
