Baja Fish Tacos

I wanted it to be so much better than it was. Service was great. Price was about 30% higher than it should be for what they were serving. Salsa bar is great. Restaurant is clean, well lit...but music it too loud to enjoy the atmosphere. The corn shells for the tacos are bland, chalky and taste like cardboard. Toppings for the tacos just don't mesh well. Overall...2.5 - 3.0 stars. Left full but disappointed in the $19 I paid for three tacos and some chips and salsa. Not the best value for the money paid. will stick to Taco Surf or Chronic Taco next time.

Best fish tacos on 2nd Street in my opinion. I loved the grilled and blackened ones. They are just super meaty and flavorful. I think their salsa is the best too. All of them are solid and interesting. In fact I'm normally not a big tomatillo salsa eater but theirs is great. Love it. This is my go to place when I just want it something good for me and not try anything new.

I love this place!!! The food always tastes fresh and leaves you feeling full but not weighed down. It's a big place, so there are plenty of tables. Service is good, the employees are nice, and every time I come here, the place is clean. That's a big deal to me when it comes to a place that's preparing my food for me. So what to get? Portions are pretty big so two tacos is usually more than enough to fill you up. When I'm sharing with someone, we get a combo plate and both feel satisfied for (if I remember correctly) what ends up being about $6 a piece. Not too shabby! Definitely get something with carne asada - it's delicious and very well cooked!

This is a favorite over and over again. The taco plate with seasoned rice and black beans is a great $ deal. The unwrapped burrito plate with low carbs is another favorite. The pickled onions are made there and part of the salsa bar. Nice staff & good seating. You can people watch--2nd Street or view one of the TV screens but not noisy.
