Maru Maki Sushi

You have outdoor, and indoor seating. And a sushi bar. If you come here don't expect much in service or quality of food. I/we just had rolls the evening we dined with friends and family. The rolls where masked by the heavy amount of sauce on top and around them. I believe the quality of the fish was sub par. They didn't taste fresh, and the rolls we ordered we left several un-eaten. We didn't want to overwhelm the female server as she was by herself. She did forget several requests made at the beginning, middle, and end of service. We just left it as she forgot, and didn't ask again as she was busy. Remind her at close out of bill, but she was to busy watching TV that's located right next to the credit card machine. Overall the experience was mediocre at best. Service lapses, and quality of food not good. Dine elsewhere is my opinion.

This place is unimpressive. Ive come in twice and got delivery twice. First of all, I came in at 8:30PM for dinner and they close at 9:30 when I asked to be seated the server asked whoever the guy is behind the sushi bar “Are we still seating?” The two guys sat there in front of me (not acknowledging me) and decided whether or not they were going to seat me. That is one of the worst things you can do. Rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t believe it. They decided okay I guess and sat me. The server took forever getting me a soda when there were only two other people seated apart from my table. When I got delivery I specifically asked for ginger and wasabi. This was through an app so it was written. They did not give me ANY ginger or wasabi. I got a spicy roll and they use a basic hot sauce almost like a buffalo sauce which is not traditionally used and it just doesn’t go with sushi. They use way too much rice instead of meat and quality sushi. It tastes mushy and old instead of crisp and fresh. And its sloppily rolled. Not a fan of this place at all. Ive tried to like it because I was recommended it but was sadly dissatisfied.

I got here at 11:30 because that was their open time online but it turned out they weren’t opening until noon. I was super hungry so I was a little annoyed and therefore ready to be disappointed in the food. However, I’m so glad I waited and gave them a shot because this place is the real deal! We got 5 rolls, a sashimi plate, and two sushi samplers and it was $60! So that was already an amazing deal that I would have been happy with, but additionally, the sushi was really tasty and quality fish. In fact, the salmon was some of the best tasting salmon I’ve had in a long time. This was a really good lesson for me to me patient with restaurants as they are still adjusting their hours and getting used to our new normal in COVID. I will definitely be back and I’m bringing the rest of the family with me too!

I just finished eating here and highly suggest you do not waste your time. While the wait to actually sit was 15-20 minutes, the wait to actually get your food was an hour to an hour and a half. While I understand being understaffed and dealing with in coming customers, I do not understand conveying that information to customers after waiting an hour and a half. The wait would’ve been worth it if the food came out well, but we instead received rolls that I wouldn’t call sushi even if it grew lips and tried to convince me it was. We didn’t even get glasses for our drinks. After the dinner, we ask for the bill and find that they’re trying to overcharge us and when we point it out, get eye rolls and huffs as if it was our fault. We then head to go and pay because no one could be bothered to come check on the table and find the three men behind the counter drinking beers and the ladies’ upfront having YouTube up on their computer while people are still waiting to be seated/served. Don’t waste your time.

This place USED to my favorite go to place for sushi. It's very convenient to my home and used to great service and good food. The new waitress was clueless on what she was doing. She kept bringing us food we didn't order. Was not paying attention to any of our request and in the end after paying she came back with someone else credit card! I mean how careless is that and when I proceeded to tell her something as far as her level of service she told me she had been doing this for 7 years and started to compare herself to me and my looks. Which that had nothing to do with her level of service and all her mistakes she had made, instead of acknowledge and apologizing she said I was the one being rude... All the other most recent reviews seems to feel the same way about her. Needless to say I will not go back as long as she is there!
