El Cortez Restaurant

This place is ridiculous. I asked for extra napkins and the server (bartender) grabbed my utensils removed the napkin and threw the utensils on the table then handed me the napkin they were wrapped in. We got our food and it was horrible. Cold, dried over cooked rice. Beans were cold on all the plates. They reheated the beans but didn't bring any utensils so I could eat my food. The tacos were plain no onions, no cilantro, no chile. The server was very rude the whole time we were here. He acted like he didn't even care to serve anyone who wasn't at the bar. The only bright side to this restaurant was what I believe is the host. The host actually helped way more than our server did.

Got the happy hour margaritas and they were watered down. Didn't taste much like margaritas. We order the chicken wings and they were the best dish we had. We also got asada nachos that lacked the asada. The coctel de camarón was ok...nothing special, just ok. Salsa and chips were way too salty. Horchata was too sweet and the chicken Mexican salad. That was just horrible. Chicken wasn't fully cooked and I ordered cilantro lime dressing since I dislike Italian dressing. Come to find out that cilantro lime dressing is Italian dressing with cilantro and lime. This place was such a disappointment especially since we come here often.
