Urban Plates

Really high quality food for a casual experience. Had the grilled steak and shrimp (surf and turf), along with a delicious mango tart and two GIANT cookies! Evelyn was great at the register and made sure the order was correct after taking it down. Really great option, that has lasted the longest in all of Playa Vista.

Exquisite food for reasonable pricing. Staff is incredible, really attentive and know the menu very well. Was helped out by Tomas- very professional and friendly. If you're in the area I highly recommend the grass fed beef. I'm sure everything else is delicious as well. This was my 2nd visit here, I'm sure I'll be back again. My grandmother from Ohio really loved the food as well. -B.P.

I come here often. The last few times have been good. Only one time was I disappointed in the food when I got it to go. It was a busy Friday night so that's probably why. The food seemed to be very heavily buttered/oiled. The staff has always been very helpful and kind. Thomas helped us last time. He was great and patient while I decided on the sides I wanted. The space is quiet but lively, good for dinner or grabbing food to go. The food has good flavors, and is a good price for the quality you get. 9/10 would recommend.

Very nice vibes, this place is super chilled. We decided to sit outside, where it's also dog friendly. There is plenty of heating options, including some fire pits. The food was really tasty, nicely cooked and fresh. The presentation on the plates, however lacked a little bit. It seemed like they whammed the food on the plates :) It all goes down the same way though, so not that relevant. Parking can be tricky, as this is mainly a pedestrian area. If you're lucky, you might be able to find some free parking close by, otherwise you can use the multi-storey garage on w jefferson, and it seems like the business you attend in the area should be able to validate your parking ticket.

When I think about Urban Plates, I think about Noelia. She exemplifies the meaning of customer experience. In fact, she puts the N in customer experieNce. Truly some of the finest hospitality, let alone the food is something to be remembered. The chocolate chip cookie is quite good, in fact quite fine, and the atmosphere is unbeatable for the price it is you are paying. All in all, a terrific dining experience for middle class folk.
