Fresh roll quality. Diversity of menus but there were some items that were not available (uni and oysters). Not much rice on rolls which was good and provided 10% discount when paid in cash.

Super Duper Fast & Delicious!!!
Judging a book by its cover has never been so true. I almost walked past this little hole in the wall gem. Everything was absolutely delicious and intriguingly named. It was so easy to order based on the fun names! I ordered the
Aburi Yellowtail Jalapeno Sushi,Picasso Roll, Some Like it Hot, & Naughty Roll. I had to of course wash it down with a Sapporo beer. By all means don’t forget to try their Banana Tempura & Green tea ice cream dessert! The only regret here is that I was too full to try more selections!

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and it is still my favorite roll spot. The spicy yellowtail, tuna, and albacore mix always tastes like Poke to me, which is why their rolls are so much more flavorful than your standard sushi joint making their rolls. I always get a couple crispy rolls, their tokyo nacho chip, and a naughty roll. The prices are still normal compared to everyone else, and the quality is always great. Service, as usual, always polite and excellent, even when I don't get to sit at the bar. (nowadays there appear to only be 4 seats at the bar, where there used to be 10 .

I've come a few times now and it is always delicious! The service is also great every time. There are vegetarian and vegan options for lunch. Super recommended!

Can I have some quantity and quality....all at the same time?!?! That's what you'll get here. My lunch hour ended with me being super stuffed, and suffering from a bad case of food coma at my desk. The lunch hour deals are the best. For under $10, you can have one of the delicious lunch specials. I had the Chicken Teriyaki Lunch, with the California Roll. It was more than enough food. The chicken was tender and delicious. This also comes with Miso Soup. We each had a lunch special and ordered an additional 2 rolls, the Salmon Roll and Volcano Roll. Wasn't quite a fan of the Salmon Roll, but absolutely loved the Volcano Roll. It must have been the fried tempura in the roll, as well as the crispy fried pieces on the side of the place.
The Wasabi, Ginger, and Soy sauce are all on they table. I certainly helped myself to a whole lot of ginger. Did I mention that I love the ginger?
The server was very friendly. I'd guess that he's the owner, but I may be wrong. He was the only server, but was waiting on several tables and some customers at the bar. This restaurant is quite small and can be passed up without notice. Delicious sushi for an affordable price.

The best special rolls in LA, they have very fresh salmon and really great combinations of ingredients. I highly recommend Donut, Philadelphia, Santa Monica, Vizzy, Spicy scallop, Greg’s, Apogee, Bel Air rolls and all the rest of their menu.

This place is good, but not great. The rolls are probably the better choice. Salmon neck was pan fried. The chicken teriyaki was good, but again, not spectacular. The garlic edamame was buttery. The prices are about average.

This Sushi restaurant is the best in LA - the price is great and it's very delicious!!
Everybody at the restaurant is friendly and welcoming and, most of all, the sushi making technique of KAZUO, the Chef, is incredible.
You will think that it is a restaurant that specializes in sushi rolls because it’s called
"California Roll Factory", but they actually serve traditional style sushi, with an artisan technique as well!
What makes them special is that they don't do the "suteshari" method, which is when the sushi chef takes rice out of the rice container to make sushi, and then puts what they didn't use back in the container. They don't use this method at good sushi restaurants in Japan.
They don't use this method at good sushi restaurants In Japan, because it is considered unhygienic.
I've lived in Japan for more than thirty years and have been to many famous sushi restaurants, but even in Japan, it is getting harder and harder to find places that keep the traditional style like California Roll Factory does, so I was very surprised to find a sushi restaurant like this in Los Angeles.
I am very thankful and happy that it exists!
The reason they use plastic plates is because the owner did not want anyone to get hurt when the plates fall.
