Gogobop

The kimbops here are heavenly. I love how they proportion them; not too much rice but a ton of veggies and meat. Their spicy pork one is absolutely deeeelicious and has a kick for sure. I do like their bowls too, but I think I like the idea of them more than I actually enjoy eating them. It's like a Korean chipotle bowl. Great assortment of veggies and options to put in, but I don't think they work as harmoniously as I expected. I got the chicken bowl, which tasted great, but I felt like a lot of the flavors clashed. Some things have more of a Mexican spice/flavor, while other options taste distinctly like Korean sidedishes/banchans. The amount of food they give in the bowl does make up for it though. They give a good amount for the price. And you you feel pretty healthy after eating it, which is another plus. I'll probably be back for the kimbops more than the bowls though.

Often times in LA you'll find great foods but not with too much portion or too expensive. Gogobop is one of those places where not only is the food really good, but the amount of food is generous and the price is surprisingly good for what you get. This place has amazing healthier options for food with a fantastic taste. Definitely plan on being a regular here.

Great local spot for a quick lunch or dinner! This place is pretty much the Korean chipotle where you get to create your own bowl. It's located in a strip plaza on Wilshire so parking can be hard since it's only street, so there's only really meters around since it's in the bush portion of Ktown. One thing I really like about this place is that they are GENEROUS with portions. They load that bad boy up. A bowl can last me 2 meals even though I shamefully finish it all, no regrets because it's so good. They have a bunch of Korean style meats you can choose from and I usually go with the pork belly since it is super tender flavorful. They usually let you add about 5 toppings to it where I get kimchi, corn, onions, mac salad, and radish. You can choose between white, brown, or red rice and I usually do half salad half white rice. They have a variety of sauces you can lather on top as well. Best part, it's under $10! WOW.

This is now the third time that I have attempted to go to this establishment for my lunch within a month and have been told by the staff, either via phone or in store, that they are not offering a menu item that is extremely popular. THE SPICY PORK is apparently never available anymore. While I understand there is a current shortage, I absolutely do not believe it is a shortage on the level that I have experienced trying to eat here. (See bottom portion). Does anybody else have this problem? Is it that much work to make the pork? Just looking for an answer on this pork thing. There's plenty of spicy marinated pork at the galleria in the same vicinity so I have to assume it comes down to the unwillingness of the employees/the preparation required. *SHRUG* Either way, I'm done. Note, I am only writing this review because of the last time that I went in and they BLATANTLY lied to my face ,and then attempted to resolve the issue within 5 minutes. SERIOUSLY, how are you going to tell me that you literally have none in the store, see me typing on my phone, and then rush out to tell me it's currently being prepared?I wasn't willing to finish the review then, but if you would like to hear the rest of the story please let me know, whoever runs this place because this is bullshittt and trying to eat here is more effort than it's worth.
