Great neighborhood feel, and they had a big bottle of hot sauce on the table!! I recommend the fried mushrooms, jalapenos poppers, and fried catfish. Three of my friends got the chili, and I'm definitely going to sample it on my next visit!!

Check’s is close enough to walk to but far enough to make it a destination walk for us. The food is excellent and in sizable portions. No disappointments ever. We love having meals with our friends there.
Also, Megan behind the bar is an absolute delight. She’s a class act.

Food wise, they have something for everyone. I always either get the 2 piece fish sandwich or their famous chili it never misses.

Cool spot for quality food. Excellent bourbon selection and relatively quick service. Very reasonable prices.

We were in town for a night and decided to try checks. It was a busy fun atmosphere and a local band playing some country tunes. Food was all really good! Recommend the chili (made fresh daily) chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. Onion rings good too! Would definitely go again if I get the chance!

I had bean soup and a Reuben which were excellent ! My husband had a cheeseburger and chili ( Luke warm) but they heated it back up, but it was good too! Trivia tonight which was fun! Will be back soon!

Amazing food, had chili, turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. It was all so delicious and a fun little cafe. Great prices too!

I had the buffalo chicken. You get three huge pieces of chicken breast with buffalo sauce on them. Wonderful!
There is always an order line. Send someone to grab your seats before you get in line.

This was awesome! Friendly, fair priced and fun! The bartender handled customers like she was juggling balls in a circus! Highly recommend for super reasonably priced drinks and hometown atmosphere.

1st timer and it was amazing. Staff was super friendly but not in a weird way 😂 in a really cool pleasant way. We were celebrating a friend's birthday with some old and new friends. It's always a good hang with us. Will definitely be back.
