El Barrio

What a big restaurant!! You wouldn't realize at all from outside. Full bar, great margaritas with friendly staff. I didn't want bourbon or barbecue lol....the tacos impressed me. My pork one was off the rails yummy, the fish taco was great too! I was not prepared for that, but they crushed it. Great experience, it was dark and cool the day I dipped in, Louisville was having a hot spell and I needed the rescue!

The food was really very good. I would not can it authentic Mexican food by any means. Despite that it is still really delicious. The restaurant was very clean. The staff were all just awesome, friendly and knowledgeable . Bartender was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place for really great food.

Not big on leaving reviews but this place deserves one. Service was excellent. No sooner then we got sat down chips n salsa hit the table. Minute later Male waiter took drink order. Bout 2 minutes later female waitress asked for our drink order. Food was out 5 minutes after we ordered and all 4 of us were in awe of how good and authentic.

Came here for a meal. Came back the following day because it was so good! The brisket was amazing! Best I have ever eaten. The service (Stephon) was kind, courteous, and on the spot! The owner came to make sure we were cared for... and then he cleaned tables, worked on the line, and refilled drinks. Hard worker! I recommend this place without any hesitation.

This place is a nice improvement from the previous establishment. The building is too narrow for there to be a buffet, which made eating here before really quite an elbow-bumping affair! El Barrio is a sit-down establishment, and the entrees are really good. Nice portions, and presentation very authentic. We got there a little early, around 11:30, so it wasn't really busy at that time. Our service was prompt and food came out fast. One of my co-workers eating with me has eaten at other establishments on Main Street that serve Mexican, and he said this far exceeds those other places.
