Pasha's Mediterranean Cafe

There probably isn’t better Mediterranean food in Louisville than Pasha’s. It really is amazing. Here’s the thing though… Every time I order, the total is off by at least 10%. Last time almost 20%. Same lady every time. I think she may also be the artist behind the flavors so I forgive her, but I’ve been here a lot and it happens every time she rings me up. And it’s maybe just a little suspicious that all errors are in their favor. So I have to pay close attention to the total and be ready for this conversation each time. It adds just a small amount of unnecessary anxiety, but at least I know to look for it now. And I still do it, because the food here is just that good. (Be aware the prices on the menu are out of date, and their parking lot sucks.) The food, on the other hand is really, really good. I got a combo plate, although I'm not sure that's what it was called. It was beef, chicken and lamb with rice and a salad, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Quality ingredients cooked perfectly. I tried a bit of a friends hummus order. It was exceptional.

What a lovely middle eastern gem! Pasha's offers authentic and delicious middle eastern food, and while the setting is modest, the friendly service makes up for it. We had kufta Kabab, hummes, musabacha (an appetizer you don't see often), fresh falafel and homemade-tasting kibbeh. Frankly, I felt transported to one of the family-owned small restaurants I liked so much while traveling in the middle east. A real authentic experience. Fun fact: they offer both Pepsi and Coca Cola products.
