Come E Cala-te

I would love to leave a proper rating, unfortunately this place is closed so we never had a chance to Come E Cala-te. They did not update their website or Facebook account. We planned this stop along our drive to our destination so about 9 hours into an 11.5 hour drive, we thought this place would be a great place to stop in for dinner and had mapped it out, unfortunately when we got there the whole place was closed due to construction.

Absolutely Never disappointed. Got the Paella for 2 for my Mom and I on Easter then had to have more good food tried the steak tips and shrimp app on rice later in week. The Paella was delicious whole lobster a pound of shrimp, clams , chix etc -loaded. Then the tips were so tender and sauce on shrimp just rite hot. Can't wait til open again but we need to support them til and Take Out is just as well prepared as dining there.

Great spot to eat, do yourself a favor schedule time to stay for a longer than American food. Food was really good, better than anticipated, we ate a few seafood dishes, lively neighborhood, we ate outside on a beautiful day, even after being cautioned by staff about the bees. Wife and I enjoyed the food and experience, bees just wanted in on the good food 😎

Love this place. Excellent food if you want authentic and delicious portugeuse food. I had the sizzling pig ears for an appetizer which were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also had the Sea Bass for dinner and it was amazing. We enjoyed a couple bottles of wine and of course enjoyed an espresso or 2 with CRF. Best treat of all was some Christmas Carolers that were traveling for Shriners popped in. Amazing time and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

I’d give this joint a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for a solid effort...everything was good yet a few points behind mind blowingly amazing I ordered the rabbit stew for $15 and it was a deal as it comes with fresh, house made bread and I tried the butternut squash bisque for my side...both were good but not amazing for various reasons and who knows, maybe I’m being a little too nit picky here... The crust on the roll was a tad too chewy for me and the bisque felt like it was just a tad off...sadly, I’m too obtuse to be able to put my finger on what exactly was off about it...maybe it wasn’t creamy enough or the squash flavor wasn’t as strong as I expected it to be? The rabbit stew with potatoes was tasty as was to be expected, but again something ever so slight seemed to be missing... Also, at first it threw me off as to how many bones the stew had but thankfully they were tender enough to chew up and eat. All in all tasty food and great portion sizes for the price...I wasn’t blown away but I’d totally eat here again as it was definitely a good, solid experience☺️
