Du Jour Vt

We had a group of 8 and were excited to eat here. Unfortunately we had 1 person with a dairy allergy. The food that was recommended to them came out with visible cheese on it, we switched to rib tips that took 35 minutes to come out. Unfortunately they were ordered medium rare, but came out very very well done and really burnt. The manager came over and swapped it for salmon that was finally fine (but was really different from the other person's salmon). There were things wrong with other orders, but we just ate it. Even simple things were wrong, like asking for 2 to-go boxes, we get brought 1. When it was time to pay, they brought us the wrong bill. When we did receive the correct bill, a few items were a different price from the menu, but we were tired so we said whatever, paid, and left. In general, the food was below average for what it was.

An upscale establishment with live music and excellent food and drink options. There is a separate bar area that is perfect for apres ski and is where the performer's stage is. In the main dining area, the atmosphere is more subdued, though you can still clearly hear the music. Food is on the more expensive side, but is very good. I had the Seafood Medley and the striped bass, salmon, and shrimp was all cooked perfectly! My group also had the parmesan truffle fries and bbq pulled pork sliders appetizers, which were both delicious. We had a party of 9 and the server was very accommodating. The food is literally the worst I have tasted in any restaurant ever. I left the whole meal on a plate after just one bite. I had a burger and my kids had skewers. Everything was burnt and oily. The food reeked with old frying oil and charcoal. Their fries were really saggy and oily as well. Their drinks? Do t even get me started. Stay away from this place.

The food was delicious. This was our second time. We really enjoyed our first time. However, the waitress seemed irritated with us. We had to go looking for salt after she delivered our appetizers. When we asked for sugar(our drink from the bar seemed like it was going to be on the sweeter side but it tasted like seltzer water with a very small splash of orange juice), she quickly got some and slapped the square holder with the sugar packets in it on our table and left. We had to ask for more water and when she gave us our check she never thanked us even when she ran our card through and returned the signature receipt so we could tip and sign it. We still gave her 15 percent(we normally give 20% when going out to eat). Maybe I'm being too picky but when I waitressed years ago I was taught to always notice when a customer needed a refill, to check on them more than once but not too much, and to always thank them at the end of the night. After all, they could have eaten anywhere but chose that restaurant.
