Fincher's Bar-b-q

Finchers BBQ Downgraded 4/26/2I to 3 stars. I enjoy Fincher's, and my original rating was 5 stars. The fries were fresh and hot, the barbeques was tasty. I will continue to eat here if I am near this part of Houston Ave. , but... 1) This physical location is scary. This part of Macon is considered a high crime area, and I encountered a vagrant pandering at the intersection nearby. 2) The buildings and premises are in desperate need of upgrades and repairs. Based on these two negative factors, regretfully, 3 stars.

Went here because of historical significance of their pulled pork being on two NASA missions and multigenerational lineage of the business. Although the surrounding area and grounds had seen better days the pulled pork was very good and the housemade sauce slammin. The proprietor was there and he and the staff were super friendly and helpful, even to a bunch of Yankees wandering in wide-eyed. Best value for the dollar I've ever had for BBQ anywhere in the United States.

Gross nasty Brunswick stew. Taste and smell like cat food there were no vegetables. It was the consistency of catfood. I was told it was good but I was lied to. I got enough to feed 6 people and we ended up having to pick up fried chicken because no one ate the stew. I DID FEED IT TO my cats and they ate it like I popped open a can of cat food. Do not recommend at all.
