Daylight Donuts

Quick service and very nice but the glazed donuts, which is what I judge a donut shop on, weren't that great. Seem like a basic donut recipe I could've made at the house. Cake donuts were ok. A little dry but not bad. Cake donuts seem to be an easy thing for most donut shops. The 3 stars are for the fast, friendly service I received.

If I could give this no stars, I would. I went in for breakfast this morning because they advertise a "hot breakfast". I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and a medium coffee. I was given a frozen, jimmy dean breakfast sandwich that had been microwaved for 3 minutes.....and the coffee was so sour and bitter. The service was great. The cashier was friendly and quick, but I will not be back. I would rather not pay for a frozen breakfast sandwich.

Donuts are pretty good here. The place is clean. However, I ordered a latte and what was prepared for me was not a latte. I drink lattes all the time and make them at home. It tastes like way to much espresso was put in the drink. She grinded up two batches of beans and used both for the drink. It tastes like 4 shots of espresso, way to bitter for me. She also put a flat lid on the cup. A latte has froth at the top -- enough that a flat lid wouldn't suffice. When I opened the lid I saw hardly any froth. My advice would be to get your donuts here and go to Z Beans in Mercer Village for specialty coffee drinks.

I was really looking forward to visiting Daylight Donuts, I tried them when I was traveling from Mississippi. I know all places are not the same but the donuts were good, Customer Service however was less than good. Lady was on the phone talking got my order wrong, when I corrected her she still got it wrong. I asked her the price on a pastrt ahe aucked her teeth and woth a roll of her neck told me. All the while still on the phone, nothing wrong with multi-tasking but she was just rude. I will not go to that one again, my apologies.

Great donuts. Great coffee. Kind and helpful staff. I was really disappointed to see these negative reviews. Often, I think we shout from the rooftops when anything goes wrong / but we forget to thank folks when things go well. This is my attempt at remedying that - they're way better than a 3.7. Period.

I like daylight donuts in other cities but this particular one that I visited...NO! The lady seemed annoyed by me asking her questions about the pastries and then the maple and peanut doughnut lacked maple icing and had nothing but a peanut flavor. I’ve never had a bad donut from daylight donuts until today. Not to mention the bear claw was overcooked. Maybe had she smiled a little bit and treated me as though my business was valuable to her my donut wouldn’t have tasted as bad... anyhow save your money and go somewhere else.
