Mccool's Ice Cream Parlour

Great location on scenic Main Street, I love to come here every time I’m in Madison. The store is immaculate and the staff are competent, anticipatory, and polite. Ownership + management are always friendly and accommodating. The icecream is always fresh and orders are timely, especially for personal occasions. It is very apparent when you come to either location of McCools that the staff takes pride in their work. I always leave knowing that my business is appreciated every time. Also— the milkshakes here are by far superior to any other neighborhood competitor.

McCool’s is the best! From their customer service, to their ice cream, ice cream novelties, and my personal favorite the soft serve (pictured vanilla with pb sauce) Most ice cream shops I dread going to in the summer due to lines but they have it down to a science, the longest I waited once was not even 20 minutes (maybe 15 at max) and it was a line wrapped around the store and almost out the door. They have almost every flavor you can think of and for nut allergies they do their best to not cross contaminate by having all the ice creams with nuts/peanut butter in one cooler and I believe they use separate scoops. They also have a great selection of Italian ice/non dairy based for my niece who doesn’t care for ice cream. Always a joy coming to McCools and worth the drive from Morris Plains

Decide to come for ice cream one day since I heard good things and I ended up being very impressed with the place. Food: the ice cream here was very delicious. it wasn’t extremely sweet, and they offered two or three dozen different flavors, so it was hard to choose from. I ended up getting cinnamon bun ice cream, which was to die for. Aesthetic: the place has a very old-school ice cream parlor feel with 50s inspired decor. Very inviting. Service: I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and Mariellen, who were both very kind and generous. Very attentive and helped out a lot!

If you love ice cream, McCools is your place! Friendly atmosphere. Outrageous selection of ice cream flavors. If you are into ice cream cakes, come here. Do not go anywhere else!!!! The chocolate chip mint ice cream cake is out of this world. The mint moose tracks is a favorite. We are ice cream connoisseurs….We rate McCools 5 plus stars!!!!

I Needed a last minute ice cream cake for my husband's birthday. I left work and did not know where to go and saw a huge amount of people sitting outside of this ice cream shop. I went in so frantic and I saw the manager, he saw me, and he completely just dropped everything and helped me right away. Because I told him that I had to get home quickly. He even added Happy Birthday to the cake even though he didn't have to. And I really, really appreciated it because there was a line. BONUS-- My husband loved the cake, and maybe 10 or 15 people asked me where I got it because it was so remarkable and fresh.

Ice cream satisfied our taste buds after a long day and also had a day at work. We went on a stroll down to McCools for a nice treat for the first time being in town. The soft serve had a different texture that I'm normally used to, but it was quite tasty. I had that on a sugar cone, but the top part was dipped in chocolate with sprinkles on the side instead of a regular sugar cone. It was different but okay. My girlfriend had chocolate chip mint iced cream, and she enjoyed it. Iced cream shop is a little small, but there is outdoor seating. Lots of fun and different flavors to choose from. Next time, I'll try a cup flavor instead of a cone.
