Hong Kong Station

Nam's Noodle is one of the rare authentic Chinese places in town. The build your own noodle soups are very comforting. Don't go for the spicy soup base if you think this is gonna be American spicy only. What's the best indicator for not being in America anymore ... No free water, haha. You've got to try the freshly made buns and dumplings, too. Could eat them all day long.

I went in there yesterday to grab a takeaway during their lunch hour. I am a visitor and just stumbled upon the place. I waited over 15 minutes for my order. I politely asked one of the helpers, who was the son of the owners, to check in on my order. He was kind enough to step into the kitchen to do so. The wife, one of the owners, came out yelling at me that it is their rush hour and that I should not be pushing them. I apologized very politely that I didn't mean to and I had no idea that they were that busy. I finally got my order accompanied with more brandishing for having rushed her. By then 20+ minutes were up since I got my order. The food was overly greasy. The quality of the meal and the very poor customer service pretty much ruined my appetite. I thrashed the food after a few bites. I would not recommend going in. I could tell her son was really embarrassed by her behavior and apologized to me.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Madison(probably all of Wisconsin) I dine here every time I am in Madison. The wings are out of this world and the soups are hot, flavorful and filling. The menu is huge, I have tried a variety of dishes here an all have been exceptional! Thank you for keeping my tummy full of the best noodles, Hong Kong Station!!!

I had to stop eating to give this restaurant my compliment. I hadn’t have HK cart noodle in USA since the only one in New York closed. I was shocked to discover a restaurant that have it in Madison. My god the spiced tofu is just stunning! Everything was perfect. Will come back every time I am in Madison!

The food here is some of the best authentic Chinese food you'll find in Madison, even moreso than the likes of Nani. However, the menus are very confusing to order from. There are 3 different noodle menus which all offer the same options more or less, but in different ways. Basically you choose a noodle type (e.g. thin rice noodles, thick udon noodles - there are many options), soup base, and toppings - extra charge for any more than three. They are rather inconsistent with making you write your choices down vs. telling the waitress outright. The restaurant seating is also quite limited. There's only one big table with roughly eight seats or so, and the rest of the 7 or 8 tables only seating 2 or 4. It's legitimately really good authentic food but be warned, you may end up having to wait for a seat as it can be pretty full at peak hours on the weekend and the ordering process can be a headache, especially if those two twins are serving you 😂

The food was good, but our food didn't all come out at the same time. It came out in the same order that it was made, but at least five minute intervals. I thought everyone's food in your party was supposed to come out at the same time, or is that just me. It wasn't my party either. It happened to another party there.
