Subway

I tried using a coupon and they said that they don't accept it even though it wasn't expired yet. Then, I just walked out until the employee called me back and finally let me use the coupon. He also pointed to the tip jar at the end, but I didn't give any though. My buddy and I think the deed was so that he'd get the tip for the offer. Anyway, the sub was good though.

Okay, so here are the details. The staff here is always the same. I am completely okay with that. They make subs in a somewhat timely manner. The store is kept clean, to an extent. However, there are a few issues. It is hard to get the sub that you want due to the language barrier, sometimes they might mess up or put a little bit too much or too less on your sub. Additionally, they always like ask for tips. I was in today to get cookies. I had spare change in my hand. I gave them whatever change I had plus I had some leftover. The cashier points at my change and essentially directs me twice to put the change in the tip jar. It's like saying if you don't tip me, you are a bad person. This is not the first time it has happened, I have gone there quite a few times before to get subs and if you give them cash and there is change leftover, he will give you the bills and put the change in the tip jar himself without even asking, like he deserves it. It is extremely rude, unprofessional and sometimes you might even have sizeable change like 98 cents or something. I will not be going there from now on. By the way, it is the same guy that has been doing this. This may seem like me ranting but just because I eat at a restaurant does not mean you can just take money from me. I may be in a hurry, I might actually like Subway, I might just want to eat one good meal a day, etc. Therefore, save your money and pick any one of the other fast food places on State St., you will spend less and get more.

So this is not the best subway I’ve been to but it sort of makes me laugh. I’ve been here 3 Times in the last month and it’s always the same staff and they always just throw the toppings at my sandwich. Needless to say the make the messiest sandwiches and then they will start adding toppings you didn’t ask for. If you ask for a little, they give you a lot and visa versa l. It’s still a subway so sure the sandwiches are more or less the same. I just wonder if anyone else walks away from the place laughing about it.

Tried to use a subway gift card and it didn't work. Twice. So I thought oh well and tried to use a credit card. That failed too. Meanwhile the employees are giving me the stink eye like it's my fault the card isn't working and I had to fish for cash. I have since used both cards without any problem so I know it wasn't my fault. Terrible business. Avoid.

Not going back. Very low quality service. I went there for breakfast recently. The flat bread was so dry it split were it was folded. I have seen poor sanitary habits also it the past. The employee went into the back cooler to get something and continued making sandwiches without changing gloves. Who knows what he touched back there.
