First time I went things were ok - food was average, drinks were decent, things took a while to come out, but it was a new restaurant so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Second time i went, the food was not good. The paella tasted like something from a box dinner, the chicken was severely overcooked, and it took over an hour to get to our table. Normally I wouldn't even leave a review, but I am fed up with how they remove negative reviews on Yelp in order to increase their rating. Also, the majority of their positive ratings look like they come from relatives.

My husband and I ate at Zandru's this past saturday and I must say the food was excellent and the service most polite and attentive. The paella was scrumptious ! It takes 45 minutes to prepare because it is made from scratch....so be patient and enjoy. The calamari is the best we've ever had any where. Lightly battered with herbs--delicious. The flan was light and creamy...soooo good. We'll definitely be back.

Very disappointing. I'm not sure how this restaurant has gotten so many good reviews. The only thing I can think of is that other reviewers have not had Spanish food before. My husband and I got 5 of the tapas plates, and they were all disappointing. Our main complaint was not much flavor. For my husband, he was expecting to be able to enjoy a glass or two of Spanish wine. No such luck, since they only offer whole bottles of Spanish wine, and only two at that. The calamari likely came pre-cut and pre-breaded from Aramark or the like. Unfortunately, I wouldn't hold out hope for the paella being any better, as I noticed a family next to us had left most of their paella uneaten on their plates. The service was fine, but the food was completely lack-luster.

I went in to try their new breakfast menu and ordered the scrambler with ham, potatoes, and eggs. The dish arrived in a matter or minutes and was very delicious. The server checked in on the table often and was very personable. This was my first experience at this newer establishment but I'm planning on coming back to try their other dishes.

The egg white in the whiskey sour was curdled, the empanada stuffing had no flavor, the green sauce from the clams was way to salty and very small. Seafood paella wasn't bad, although there were a few chunks of broken shell in there. Service was good, although there was a struggle recalling the beer list.

This place was just a huge disappointment. First off, the only reason I’m giving this two stars is because service was pretty good. I knew I should have left when I asked the server his opinion on the seafood paella.... he was very hesitant and unconvincing in saying that it was good. Food was bland and gross. I ordered the seafood paella. The lobster was HORRIBLY unseasoned and tasted gritty. I have never had lobster so bland. We also ordered the empanadas and calamari tapas. Empanadas were decent, calamari was rubbery and unappetizing. This is one of those restaurants that pour their resources into creating a decent dining atmosphere, but completely neglect food quality and everything in between.... e.g. they wrapped their silverware in cheap paper napkins- not linen. I’m not that hard to please when it comes to food and I’m NEVER one to write reviews, but man this place sucked.

This was by far the worst dinning experience I have ever had! We ordered our drinks, appetizer and meal at the same time (which was no problem). However, a party of 4, who got seated about 5-10 minutes after us received their drinks, appetizer and meal before us. They received their drinks and entire meal (appetizer course as well) before we were even served! We waited for almost two hours before our meal got to our table! This was after we asked politely how much longer it would be until our food arrived. While we waited for the two hours to receive our food the waitress never came back to check on us, fill our water glasses, or ask if we wanted any more to drink as we had finished our bottle of wine while we waited. This is all while other parties of two and four had no issues receiving their drinks or food before us. When our main dish came (seafood paella) all of the seafood was overcooked and rubbery. The rice tasted like it came out of a box, like several other comments and there wasn't any flavor added at all. My boyfriend asked our waitress what happened to our appetizer and she said "ohh I think it went to another table". At this point hearing that wasn't a surprise, but extremely disappointing! About 10 minutes after our main dish arrive to our table, our appetizer showed up. We ordered the fried calamari and that too was overcooked, burnt, and rubbery. At the end of our meal and choking down what we could my boyfriend went in to speak to the manager and express how disappointed we were with our entire experience. When he asked our waitress to speak to him, she went in the back and returned about 5 minutes later to say that he was too busy and that he wouldn't be out to speak to him! Talk about poor customer service! We will not be back to this place..... EVER!
