Little Libby's Catfish And Diner

Not quick on giving 5, but this place got me the moment I walked through the door. Welcomed and seated very quick, hush puppies came out with my drink. Staff members are friendly and very quick. If you're near the airport or bass pro make this a lunch or dinner option. Hard to find but easy to like. Plenty of large parking, very clean facility. Wonderful experience! Fish was awesome 👍🏼

1st time to eat here. Good daily choices. Very clean and bright restaurant. Spacing done well. Loved the salmon patty, 3 vegetables. Hush puppies, cornbread were excellent. Attentive wait staff. $57 for 5 people! Will be going back.4 stars because food could have been hotter for my personal preference

We have been eating here forever it seems like but seriously since we moved back to Alabama we’ve eaten here at least once a month. Today I ordered the catfish and oyster combo plate. I took the first bite into my oyster it was so hard I cracked my tooth in half. I instantly cried out in pain the waitresses came running over and we told her what had happened, she went and got another waitress and they talked and wanted to get the owner Lisa. I went into the bathroom to rinse my bloody mouth out and see how bad the carnage was. I came back out and the two waitresses had used their fingers to “mash” My oysters to see if there was anything hard in them. They took my plate because I was not one going to finish eating after they put their fingers in my food and two I was in way to much pain. The owner had gotten there at this point and my jaw was swelling up and she looked at my plate that was at the server stand said something to the waitress and proceeded to go sit down at the other side of the restaurant and start eating. I said well she’s obviously not going to come say anything so I went to pay and they said she said to charge you full price for your plate. I was at the point that accidents happen and if she would have said I am terribly sorry that would have been the end of it I wouldn’t have even minded paying but since she acted like a two year old she will be getting the dentist’s bill Monday and any other bills from this point. It also didn’t help that two of her cook staff came out into the dining room to eat while we were waiting for our food and they looked like they had just gotten off shift at a mechanic shop they were covered in grease from head to toe they ate the one rubbed his face with his hands no mask on and went right into the kitchen and prepared our food and I am certain since he walked right by two sinks he did not wash his hands. I have literally eaten at every restaurant that has been in this building since I was a kid and like I said before have probably eaten here a dozen and a half times in the last two years and it has gone downhill so much in the last four months. I am willing to bet she doesn’t have insurance that is why she refused to speak to me. I had absolutely no interest in having her pay for anything but now I’m going to sue the hell out of her for my tooth all because she acted like a two year old

My sister and I had a late lunch there today. We shared a 3 whole Catfish meal (which came with 2 sides: crispy French Fries and Fried Zucchini) I had their Sweet Tea (which was not at all the "Diabetic Drink" that is at most restaurants serve). Our Server, Donna, was Fantastic! She gave delicious suggestions, checked on us regularly, and was quite personable. This was my sister's first time....We will both be back.

My wife and I, recently visited northern Alabama (stayed in Madison; not far from Huntsville). We dropped by Little Libby's Catfish (in Madison), to sample their signature menu item: fried catfish (my wife's favorite eating freshwater fish). The fried catfish was amazing; excellent coating; cooked just right; very moist and flavorful and the size of the fillets, were VERY generous! The hush puppies were very flavorful & cooked to just the right consistency; soft, not rocks like some restaurants turnout. We had other items that accompanied our catfish & hush puppies, however, I chose to focus on those two items (catfish & hush puppies - enough said!). We've both eaten our fair share of fried catfish; mostly in Mississippi (Biloxi/Gulfport areas; where I was raised), and we can honestly say, Little Libby's is the absolute best we've had thus far.
