Sakura Japanese Steak House

Me and my family have eaten here several times. The service is always quick. The staff is very friendly. The food is good and consistent. I prefer to eat here as opposed to shotgun in Huntsville. The Gyoza is perfectly pan fried if you ask then to fry both sides. I would recommend eating here. As you can see from the pictures I cleaned my plate!!!!!!!!!

Sakura is not my favorite hibachi place. It's on the smaller side and their soup and salad (dressing is like pure ginger) are gross imo. The rice and such was pretty okay. I liked the guy who made it. He was funny and cooked my steak perfectly. Also it was my nephew's birthday and they did bring him some cheesecake and sang and he liked that. They do a pretty good job.

Food is 5 stars, but the service is not. I don't care for the atmosphere and I prefer to call-in our order or order online. The last time we ordered online we were given an approximate 55 minute wait time. We came in right on time and still stood there for 15 minutes waiting on them to prepare our food. They weren't very busy either. All of that aside, this is still our favorite place to get hibachi and sushi locally. The food is consistently fresh and delicious.

First, our waitress was very slow. I’m not sure if she was new or what. She looked young so I gave her a pass. It took her probably 10 or so minutes to get to the table to get our drink orders. The food was ok not great. I ordered the seafood udon and the waitress asked my 3 times if I was sure explaining what it is. I know what udon is...I have brown skin, but I’m half Asian so I know. I was a little annoyed, but I just said yes every time she asked if I was sure. We also ordered sushi, but had to wait for her to bring the paper menu. We got tired of waiting for her to come back to get the order so we passed it off to the person bringing out my udon and our son’s kids meal. The hubs had to wait a while for his sushi. I did not finish most of the udon and the waitress actually took my bowl to the back to bag it up. I don’t know the reason, but I went to pack my leftovers for lunch and all the seafood is gone and most of the broth is gone. I know there was some seafood left and no my 5yo or hubs would not eat that. We will not be back.
