Fresh Starts Cafe

Terrific breakfast! I think the salsa was freshly made and the gluten free chocolate chip waffle was phenomenal! Ambience and presentation are fantastic. Two suggestions: 1. Advertise like crazy since you're tucked away and kind of hidden on 72. 2. Invest in plate warmers. My breakfast burrito was delicious but a little cold, and I think it's because it was served on a cold plate. Otherwise, I'd give this place five stars. If you haven't already, go check it out!

Great restaurant conveniently located off of highway 72 in Madison. The spot had a great ambience, clean, plus great natural lighting, and comfortable seating. The place just open a few weeks prior to our visit so we did not have the opportunity to check out the menu. When saw it we were blown away by the number of great options. We decided with the blue sky bowl(highly recommended) and the beets waffle along with a few other choices. This restaurant was definitely needed in the Madison area.

This place has a great atmosphere. The seating is comfortable and the all window front floods the place with wonderful natural light. You can definitely tell all the food is fresh (from the name and decor you would expect nothing less). I have been here several times and will return in the future. I am a person al fan of the smoked salmon toast. I also really love their panini bread. The price is a little on the high side (and I can see why because of the ingredient quality) but I would not be able to go here as often as I'd like. Also, the waffle was quite dry but it definitely tasted like matcha. Side notes: it is very instagramable and smells like a Capri Blu candle

Excellent tasting healthy food that is well plated by a lovely staff. This little gem does indeed provide a fresh start for the early riser or lunch goer here in Madison. Price is mid-range, but the unique menu and quality food make it worth the expense. Lack of frontage means short lines, but not for long. This place is sure to build in popularity as word gets around - so long as the new team can keep up with rising demand and keep wait times down. This cafe is definately a must on any discerning diner's early day rotation.

I love Fresh Starts Cafe! It's hard to find a restaurant with unique items and the quality of ingredients FSC does. I live a very active lifestyle, and love that I can go somewhere to get a snack and feel better after eating it! The menu and coffee selection is great. Don't miss out! P.S. Fresh & flavorful with thoughtful, high-quality ingredients. Several vegan and easily converted vegatarian options on the menu. Service was friendly and the wait was very reasonable on a Tues morning. The person who rang me up was fully knowledgeable about ingredients and patiently answered my questions. The ambiance is great too, floor to ceiling windows, chill tunes, and modern decor with a boho-industrial vibe. I ordered fruit toast went back for avocado toast. At first glance, I felt the fruit one was a little high in price, and the avocado one was a little low. Together they averaged out, imho. Both were presented with simply state elegance, tasted great, and banished any thoughts of not being a good value on first bite. The fruit was at peak flavor & freshness, the bread on the fruit toast was thick & perfectly crisped, and the seasoning of the avocado toast was super satisfying. The ginger tea was lovely and it was so nice to have stevia as a sweetener option. Will definitely be back with the rest of my family!
