Beagle Bagel Cafe

It would be nice if you had containers that the food can actually fit in. The cinnamon rolls were stuffed in the Styrofoam container on the lid. The container was not able to close at all. You can see by the mess in my vehicle. Why not place the cinnamon rolls in small individual containers? Smh! It was filthy on the inside.

I normally like Beagel Bagel - their chicken salad is my favorite - but I was very disappointed with our service yesterday when I was there for lunch. The lady who took our order and made our sandwiches was on a FaceTime call for most of the time, with her phone laying in the middle of the food prep area (right next to our sandwiches) and also touching it with her gloved hands WHILE MAKING OUR FOOD. And when we noticed that she was wrapping up our sandwiches we told her that we were dining in (she had not asked us and we had not said), but she rolled her eyes and then proceeded to ARGUE with us that she had asked us and that we had said it would be takeout. I don’t remember the last time I experienced someone be so rude… All we did was order 3 chicken salad sandwiches! And honestly, I don’t think the chicken salad tasted quite as good as it usually does.

If I could rate this place with a 0, I would! Right when we got out of the car, it smelled like a bowling alley in the 80's- employees were smoking right at the corner where you walk in, so it smelled inside as well. No one greeted us; the girl just stood at the register sorting money. She didn't acknowledge us as we waited for about 8 minutes. Counter was a mess, and the bagels looked small for a bagel place. We left, walked back through the smoke and went to Panera! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

I rarely leave reviews on places. The employee that took my order was extremely rude. The place was disgusting. Not a clean table in there, and employees never made an effort to clean them while I was there. Would have just taken my order to go had I noticed that EVERY table was disgusting. Place looked like it hadn’t been swept in a week. Drink machine was disgusting. No lids for any drinks didn’t matter what size. I understand that places are understaffed, however, any opportunity that was given for one of the employees to clean, they did not. I’ve gone to the Madison Beagle Bagel for years and it has gone extremely downhill.
