Applebee's

Service was decent but the food left a lot to be desired. Our spinach and artichoke dip looked like baby vomit, definitely not worth $10. Our entrees were sub-par and lacked flavor, and for some reason my mashed potatoes came out on a sizzler pan and were fried at the bottom? The constant stream of country music over the radio was also very obnoxious and loud.

Through the week they tend to be seemingly a lot less crowded. I was able to get in and out quickly and the service was great despite a shortage in staff. The weekend the service is still great once you get to your table. But the wait time can sometimes be a bit longer also due to shortness of staff. All in all everything was clean and I saw people continuously cleaning.

I have not been to Applebee's in years and now I know why I stay away. The service is still bad as usual. These servers have no since of urgency what so ever. We were standing at the podium waiting to be seated, but there was a family of 10 people waiting and they turned them away and said that they can't seat no more than 4 to 5 people at a time. Now as much as these restaurants are talking about they are suffering, you are going to turn money away. So the cook with an apron on and a baseball cap asked us how many was in our party. The hostess still standing in front of us. So the cook tells the hostess to seat us. As I'm looking around the restaurant, there is barely any people in here. The servers, managers, hostess all leaning in the bar area and on the side stations not doing anything. But it's taking 20 to 30 minutes for someone to greet you and take your order. When they finally take your order, they never come back. When they do, it's to serve you food that's cold. My daughter normally cleans her plate but she said it didn't taste the same and she gets the ribs every time she comes. My food did come out hot. We wanted dessert, but it took the server so long to come back that we had changed our minds. I just asked for the ticket, paid and left. I don't think we will be back.

Ordered 2 8oz ribeyes medium rare and a chicken and shrimp dinner with the explicit instructions not to cook the chicken plate with ANY onions due to an allergy. Food came out. Chicken plate loaded with onions. Both steaks came out raw. I mean refrigerator cold on the inside. Their fix was to scrape off the onions and microwave the steak plates. Worst first experience ever.
