This is it! The search for the perfect burger is freaking over! You cannot beat the seared in flavor of this phenomenal burger. Not much to say, this is for sure a burger you must experience for yourself. They also happen to have the best fried pickels I've ever eaten. Pickels are spear cut, battered and fried, served with horseradish or ranch. The breading stays on when you bite into and not greasy at all. Shipleys has amazing history and is located conveniently in a story book town that could be the background of any hallmark movie. I only have it 5 stars because 6 wasn't an option.

The drinks were amazingly priced and good. The service was great. And those burgers ...... I will be back for more of them. It isn't a lie when they say they got the best burgers. One of the best burgers I have ever had!!!

Service is OK. Friendly. But the price is like the old days. $1.75 draft beer. Served in a plastic cup but still cant believe the price. No craft beers but who cares. It's like pubs were before Sam Adams started the microbrewery trend. Every app is under 10 bucks. Food is decent.

Just off the main road in Madison. We had hamburgers. The regular Shipley burger was huge, and I love to eat. A real burger, though and delicious. It's also a tavern so maybe not the family evening spot, but very nice at lunch time. Also, the sides we got, fries and onion RI gs were great. A more expensive hamburger, but worth it.

Not much going on in this town but this place has the best burger. No one cooks burgers at any temp other than well done here. Must be an Indians thing. So with that in mind…. Best burgers… drinks are just okay.

If you're looking for a dive bar and excellent food this is the place ! A Madison "must-visit" in our opinion and a regular spot for us to enjoy the best burger for miles!

Best burgers I’ve had in a long time & the prices are reasonable.
A good place to go during the during daytime hours to watch a game or grab a bite to eat or a little later to experience some of Madison’s night life.
The staff is extremely friendly & accommodating
