Go there for the local atmosphere. The cod is fine.Chips a bit too the soft side. Im not a hug fan of the brown gravy. But i had to try it! Friendly People even if we where supporting the visitors.

Chips are always fresh and the Chinese Chippy is spot on.
Always clean place, fast service and what you need before the game.

It's not often you come across a good old chip shop anymore. But Tony's chip shop is one of them . Food is always fresh, good, friendly staff and no duty tables. You can eat in or take it way with you . It also as a toilet . The prices are not bad. The chip shop is not in the best location bit off the beaten track
but it as a good customer base, and with the new apartments in the now trendy Ancoats, the only way is up
I would recommend a visit

One of the best in Manchester. Excellent fish. Village Chippy vibes. Reminds me of the Chippy next to Leeds Market.

I like the fact the fish is always made to order, so takes a little longer but means it’s more fresh.
However it is nice the chips and fish, but the fish is a little smaller than it used to be.

We randomly went in here when passing on our way out of town and didn’t regret it. The staff are all so kind and helpful, they really make you feel welcome and wanted in there. It is so clean and the best bit is that the food is spot on, great little find!
