Loved it! Really generous portions (I had enough for lunch the next day) and tasted very authentic - though my prefence I could have done with a bit more spice. Had a few veggie options on so I could choose what I wanted to eat and not be left with once choice! I tried both veggie curries that were on and they were delicious! My partner had the jerk chicken and said it was really good. The coleslaw also was really good and vegan! Would highly recommend!

As a Jamaican, finding an authentic Jamaican place can be very difficult especially if you are in the city centre and want somewhere to sit and dine. We had seen reviews and Instagram posts of here and finally bit the bullet and visited. The location is convenient, practically next to the Arndale and the store front is easily spotted with its reggae inspired colours/theme. The lady who served me was friendly and helpful. The chef's were authentic Jamaicans and that was the overall decider as I do not want to buy my food from someone who's learned our skills from a cook book. We ordered chicken splits, plantain and steak & cheese patties. The plantain was fresh and a good amount for £2. The split my partner loved and finished off quickly, I personally wasn't a 100% fan but only because there was too much gravy for me. I like a firm dumpling rather than it softened by the gravy and I would of liked a bigger portion of coleslaw but the large amount of meat made up for that. The patties are completely different to authentic Jamaican patties, but that isn't a downfall. They are packed with so much meat, something you don't usually see in a typical patty as they usually fill it with veg/filler with minimal actual pieces of meat so while they are not the usual, they are elite! Overall I would return to try something different off their menu with less gravy. The crispy chicken tenders are next on my list to try

HALAL. ordered the shredded chicken and spicy rice with gravy and slow. Was amazing. I've been looking a for an authentic Caribbean place in Manchester and this is the one! Plantain was also really good. Highly recommend. I would recommend the owners advertising HALAL more prominent, would definitely attract more cliantel.

Great spices on the chicken! I love it here. Have been back a few times for the jerk chicken on a bed of rice and peas. The soup is also excellent. Definitely worth a visit, especially any time you feel like a bit of Jamaican fare. These guys are popular and it is easy to see why, the food is sooo tasty.
