High Street Tavern

Absolutely top notch pub on a Saturday afternoon, but I’m biased because I had just been to no less than six breakfast/brunch spots with insane lines/waits and no luck. All I wanted was a full English breakfast and I discovered this lovely place (make sure you order before noon for breakfast). Not one of those trendy breakfast spots so there was plenty of seating, friendly staff, and great draft beer. TT Hopical Storm was delicious. Breakfast was stellar. Really enjoyed this experience, wish I knew to come straight here at 10am instead of wasting nearly two hours.

A friend took me there Monday evening & we had a great time. We were there at 5pm so not overly busy yet. Nice music in the background & great views from the window booth. Food was excellent (Chicken & leek pie) & the house red we had was delicious. Ged was our waiter & made us feel very welcome. Will definitely revisit

What a lovely place this is. Passed it many times and decided to go in for something to eat. Such welcoming staff, we were made to feel so welcome as was our dog..so great start. Very nice vibe and atmosphere in there. It was Happy hour so had a bottle of wine and two pizzas. Food was not amazing but nice enough. Big shout out to the staff here, they make the place. Will definitely be back and have recommended it to people.

Oh this is such a lovely place. I was just strolling by and happened to peep inside the restaurant. It has such a positive vibe. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable. I think it was a Tuesday and they had some offers on main meals with 50% off . I sat there for a couple of hours watching the trams, sipping an excellent cup of hot chocolate. The next thing I ordered was the fish and chips. Hands down one of the best i have had so far. The tartare sauce had the right amount of pungency and tartness. The fish was fried very well with too thick or thin batter. Loved every minute spent.
