The Bar & Lounge At The Midland

Beautiful historic hotel, really clean, great smelling bathroom products (Elmis), big soft towels. Only problem was I could here a buzzing noise all night, thought it may be fridge but as very tired I couldnt find how to switch off. Very good breakfast, great selection. A little slow at the bar even though a few staff were on and not many customers. Overall a great stay

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel last night. The room was lovely, the place was clean and staff very friendly and professional. The bed was so comfy. The interior decor is absolutely gorgeous. The location was perfect as it was in the city centre and close to everything but also not near any loud clubs. The walls in between rooms are thick as I'm a light sleeper but were not disturbed once by other guests

We spent a night here, and had a lovely time. I love the elegant decor of the midland, and the receptionist was very sweet. Our room was very nice. We had cocktails at the bar, lovely servers however it took about 15 minutes to be served our drinks and about 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches to arrive. All in all it was very enjoyable, and breakfast was fab. Looking forward to staying again.

A beautiful hotel full of character and features. The rooms are a generous size. The spa was good for a hotel spa. Staying here feels like an indulgence, which is lovely as a treat. The rooms were a little cold. The fan heater didn't seem to work. However, as we did not spend loads of time in our room, it was fine for us. I would stay here again.

This was a treat from my wife and was my second visit to the Midland Hotel but my wife’s first. I told her how wonderful the hotel was from my previous visit and hoped that she would love it as much as I did. I shouldn’t have worried. She absolutely loved it. Stayed 2 nights in February for a weekend break and treated ourselves to a spa treatment each. Spa was amazing and the treatments were fantastic. The staff in there were lovely and friendly. Ate on our first night inside the hotel. Service was great and the food lovely. The only negative was the bar prices and lack of enough staff to look after people in the seating area around the bar. There was only 1person wandering around looking after customers and I estimated more than 50 customers in the bar area. Needed at least 2 more to cater for the amount of customers they were dealing with. Bar profits would pay for their wages I’m sure. Won’t put us off returning. Plan to visit again soon. Probably go for drinks down the road . Lots of lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

We visited a couple of friends staying on the top floor of this hotel and had an afternoon tea with them at the Tea Room of the hotel. This hotel is conveniently located, just two minutes walk from the nearby St Peters Square metro station. The room was spacious and clean. Equipped with all the necessary facilities such as refrigerator, tea making facilities etc. Prices were reasonable in relation to its location, provisions and service. The service of the staff was very good.
