South Manny Flavaz

Right, to be fair after reading some reviews, I was not expecting to like this place, but boy, I was seriously wrong! South Manny Flavaz offers some very nice street food, there’s no doubt about it! If you enjoy all things chicken, you’ll love it here. It’s nothing ground breaking or shockingly different, but very well cooked food for the soul can be found here. We sat in to eat, in the relatively small upstairs eating area, but we loved it! Nice and cozy and comfortable. We were greeted with a smile by all of the staff, who all were very helpful, polite and attentive. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, but when you’re in good company and have decent music being played in the background, the wait is worth it! Would I go back? Yes, definitely. I’ve never had anything delivered from here, so I can’t review that side of the service, but eating in is definitely a recommend from me.

Ok , where shall I begin. So I have a long day at work , come home and tell my Mrs "it's Friday! Let's go out and eat , there's that place South Manny Flavas we've seen on Instagram so many times let's go" , so we go. An hour later we arrive at the establishment. Parking is easy on the road , paying online, nothing to worry about. The place is easy to spot and pretty clean and nice with a small indoor seating area and a large outdoor seating area as well. Me and the Mrs ordered two spicy chicken burger box meals (£8.50 each) with a kinder bueno and lotus milkshake (£2.50 add on instead of £5 on its own per milkshake) . It came with a burger , chips and two wings. Sounds great right? Get some tissue, I'm sure you are already drooling. The meal arrives in a box. Now with wings , there's many kinds , there's the big ol m'fer wing that looks like a little cousin of a drum stick, there's the standard two bone wing (fan favorite) , then there's the ones we got , the sad mini drum stick wing boi. Let's say this is a chefs choice no problem , taste is everything right? All I can say is SAUCE , the sauce was wayyy too overpowering, I tasted no wing , no crunch , just ..... SAUCE. The kind of sauce that comes out of Satan's nose when he has a flu , throat burning acidic tasting SAUCE. Ok, there's a burger as well so let's see what that was like. MORE SAUCE M'FER. My days , the 3 chicken strip (expected a fillet aw well) was drenched in the same sauce , SAME SAUCE as above. I'm not sad, just disappointed. The two stars are because the chips were well seasoned and nice. The milkshakes were nice as well and priced well as an addon to any meal. Also this review is based on what we ordered , other things on the menu may be amazing as seen on other reviews. Don't get the spicy burger , it's not a KFC zinger style burger . Just three sad chicken strips drenched in SAUCE from the 7th layer of Dante's hell. I will still enjoy looking at the Instagram pictures. Everything looks great on there. In hindsight , me and the Mrs should have got two different things and shared. Meh , it is what it is.

This place was disgusting. Ordered from UberEats and their wings were not tossed in sauce as depicted in the picture, the fries were not skin on, the burger was burnt to a crisp and the mac and cheese looked NOTHING like the picture (missing crumbly bits on top and was cold). Do not order from these people or you will be VERY disappointed. I’m demanding all of my money back.

If your looking for chicken & chips with a twist then this is for you. My teenagers are chicken burger addicts and the burgers here are decent. Takeaway is packaged well & they provide sustainable cutlery and sauce in sachets. My photos show a Family Flavaz Box 2 burgers: plain & BBQ, every type of chicken on the menu, Mac n cheese Coleslaw Waffle fries Skin one fries 2x corn on cob My family of 4 found the quantity just right. Everything was tasty, only feedback was the BBQ burger was just slightly on the saucy side.
