Great place. Probably the 1st pub I tried and met the landlady right away. She was extremely nice and the place had decent drink prices. Great atmosphere and people. As a American traveler it was a very interesting place to come upon. Only recommendation is maybe add a little security on the busier nights as I seen a few individuals pushing people around but even then the staff handled it accordingly. Highly recommend!

I came in on Sunday night they 3 young lady's behind the bar was very lovely and well mannered they was very welcoming and polite the pub in a whole has a great atmosphere and I will definitely be coming bk again 😀 👍

Popped in when I was cycle touring along the Rochdale canal. Very friendly local pub with a good pint of Guinness. Sun-trap beer yard with a food shack open from late afternoon - too late for me to try but smelt good when they were setting up. No cask ales currently but I think that's the norm for the area
