Four Olives Deli

This a great round the corner deli with quality food. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu with sandwiches and salads. Their French toast is absolutely 'eyes roll to the back of your head' delicious, and heavy, so prepare for an afternoon siesta after eating one.. They do a good spin on eggs Benedict too which is yummy .. All in all a good place for enjoying a breakfast or lazy lunch. The only negative I have never seen the barista (probably the owner) smile and he mostly always seems to have sullen expression on.. Anyways doesn't affect the quality of food and coffee so all good !

Won't be returning - our quiches, we both had different kinds, were both so dry we didn't eat them after 2 attempted bites, well, Mum ate a little more, but not much. We politely told staff and then management that they were too dry to enjoy eating. However, there was no apology, just we were told "they were made yesterday" as some kind of reason that they should be acceptable. Then charged full price for food uneaten. I don't mind paying, we are not looking for charity, as much as we were disappointed that there was no apology or attempt to fix it. We left hungry. And we were told "there are no discounts just because you don't like the food" as we were walking away after paying in full. Well, my taste is NOT for dry quiche! No attempt to invest in return business or word-of-mouth recommendation. Manly is too busy to care?

Tasty and not so generic dishes. Nice corner location to relax and street watch. I had the turkey focaccia which was nice, but there was only one thin slice of turkey on it. Couldn't even taste the turkey, thought it had to be a mistake. I went up to the counter and the worker informed me that it wasn't a mistake and all the sandwiches we made that way. He was happy to throw a few more slices on, but a customer shouldn't have to do that. Seemed a rip off to me. My friend got the beef burger that he said was excellent and filling, so not everything is bad.

Arrived at 3.45pm on my break from work and staff were more concerned with closing (5pm) than offering good service. Clearly they don't offer table service after the kitchen has closed as I was directed to the water and when I had been once before this was not the case. Had my lasagne heated 3 times and it was still cold! One member of staff was even taking a phone call behind the counter, as I work in hospitality myself I was not impressed by this and won't be returning as there are many other options in manly.
