Momo Sushi Train

Formally known as sushi Taka, this place was amazing and we would eat there often.. Sad to say it has taken a dive after it has been taken over and become mo mo sushi.. The portions have halved (prices are the same)and the quality is now terrible. We were the only people in there and it took forever for our plates to be made. And the pre made plates were not very nice..One of my chicken dishes tasted funky and I was to scared to eat it. The staff lady was not very friendly and didn't seem to want to be there...We will not be going back there again. Sad to say I do not recommend this place.

I went there with my partner on Saturday 3pm during Manly Jazz Festival and the service wasn't good. We got in and there was only a couple. The waitress was very slow and not friendly. The food was a hit and miss, we ordered from the menu because we guessed the food on the train would be cold but still after ordering my grilled salmon nigiri was cold and small. The salmon sashimi was good and so was the crab claw. We're most likely not coming back. We asked for the bill, the waitress came to count our plates and we walked to the checkout to pay but she let us wait while she was cleaning our table even though there was no one else in the restaurant anymore.

In renovating the restaurant (July 2017) they have manged to create a garish, bright environment, void of atmosphere! What is worse is the prices have doubled! Which would be justified if the sushi had improved, but there are cold fried foods doing the circuit. Even the EFTPOS limited increased overnight from $10 to $20. A regular visitor, now looking for a new venue. What a shame.
