Hog's Breath Cafe

Overwhelming price with underwhelming food. Had to wait for 40 min to get the meal of 2 and were told they ran out of slow cooked steak. Seriously we wouldn't even be there had we known? One particular staff who acted like a supervisor was bit abrupt. Anyway all could have been rectified had the meals been good. But not at all, my local pub has better steak than them. I've been in other hogs breath before but 1st time in highpoint one and i can certainly say 'Not worth money spent for'.

It's a diner, not a fancy restaurant, so the food is not spectacular; that said, I have never been disappointed with my meals here. The steaks are great and come with some interesting (and tasty) toppings. The mocktails are all really tasty and the few cocktails I've tried have been nice too. Nice salad and really long curly fries. Generous portion size. The staff - today we had Bondi - are friendly and look after you. Just be cautious if you have less than an hour before your movie because the food can take a while.

With the place at 15% capacity on a Saturday evening, it took two of them 5 minutes to decide where to seat us. Stop with the overbearing waiters. While information is appreciated, an in-your-face "it's my job to tell you" is not a good way to set the atmosphere. With two kids on the table, we ordered two kids meals and one meal per adult. The waiter having known one of the kids meals was to be shared with an adult, we were told the complimentary child's drink would be charged. Alas, asking for a steak well-done and needed to be told by the waiter 3 times that it would be a longer wait for it - was not appreciated. They also kept trying to clear our plates while we were still eating - plain rude. Your service sucks and we will never come back here. No wonder the place is empty on a prime evening.

I'm so bummed I didn't get her name, but the waitress who assisted us with our issue was by far the best customer service we've gotten in a while! We dined here for lunch today and had a small issue with our ribs which got rectified immediately with ease. Would definitely dine here again if we're in the area, and also the ribs are deliiiishhh! 😍 Don't usually leave reviews unless I am extremely impressed, which I was! So, thank you.

Booked lunch for my daughters birthday but didn't request a birthday party as were just going to eat and follow on with bowling. The staff were so accommodating allowing me to bring in a cake and offered to keep it in their fridge while we finished our bowling and karaoke. They also, without me requesting organised balloons and birthday message at the table. They set up the cupcakes on the platter and sang happy birthday. They went beyond my expectations. Well done to all the staff.

The first time we came, the medium rare steak was cooked until well-done. Last month when we came, it was sold out of pork ribs, and the medium rare steak was so undercooked it was raw and bleeding. Today, they were sold out of steak and baked potato. With steak as their signature dish, they should have it available. The baked potato was substituted with mashed potato and it tasted only of generic margarine rather than any potato. Not to mention, the garlic bread tasted very pre-made and unappetising. The dessert was bad enough that it seemed store-bought. For a 'busy' Thursday night, there's only 3 tables with customers, far from 'full' and 'at least 30 minute wait' like what google suggests. With the dissatisfaction with the meal and this price, I believe that eating here is not worth it.

Terrible meal. Was out with my two kids, we ordered medium rare steaks and a chicken Parma. What we got was well done steaks and my daughter’s parma was was burnt on the edges. I ordered the salad to go with my steak. The salad was wiltered, looks to me as if they were at least a couple days old. I don’t recommend going there for lunch at all. If I can give them a zero stars, I would.
