Bernhard's Bread Bakery

First and foremost it must be said we need you in Rock Hill SC!! So many delicious treats, so much so that I couldn't really decide what to get so I bought a little bit of everything. Lots of baked goods made right here went home with me including bread and sweets but the highlight of my discoveries was finding my favorite chocolate treat in the world: nougatringe! Delicious butter cookie with delicate nougat filling coated in chocolate, lecker! Please don't skip it nor the chocolate cherry cake. We also tried the frikadellen sandwich which was also fantastic. Can't wait to come by again when I visit GA from SC. 🥰

I bought my employees lunch here and everyone enjoyed the food. It has been years since I have had German Potato Salad and theirs is very good. The sandwiches were also all very good and prepared very well. The staff is friendly and the line moved quickly. They also have a great selection of imported chocolates and other sweets and a freezer full of soups and other prepared dishes.

Have to say I was so excited to visit this bakery before I left Atlanta. My partner is german and has made me fall in love with everything german. So it was nice to go to a place with authentic food and groceries. I'm a big fan of schnitzel so I had already bought groceries and ordered some coffee before I realized I could get this sandwich. It was amazing and I wish I lived in the area because they would definitely have my business weekly. I would definitely recommend for all your german needs. I loved the poppi seeds when I visited Germany. So it was nice to get some of those from the bakery.

Great service to go along with the fantastic sweets and breads. My go to spot for a good loaf or pretzels. In terms of sweets, the blueberry vanilla danish and those little chocolate mounds they keep in the rotating display (sorry, don't know the name. I just point and say, "gimme") are top tier. Bernhard also seems like a cool guy based on my limited interactions with him. The best bakery I've been to in the Atlanta area, and there's some good ones.
