Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I went to Dickey's Barbecue Pit on a whim cuz I was picking up some Bundt Cakes next door. I want to give five stars to this restaurant. I got the pulled pork --not everybody can char up the fat on a pulled pork and keep the meat juicy and tender inside. It was superb. The barbecue sauce is delicious and I got fried okra as well which was also very delicious. recommend this place

Dickeys BBQ Pit has been one of my best experiences owned and Operated by the Daniel’s Family they put an emphasis on treating the guests like family when you come inside you feel at home. The food is wonderful I personally enjoy the Pulled Pork it’s always tender and delicious along with the Baked Potato Casserole and Mac and Cheese your sure to find something you and the entire family will love so next time your in Mason stop in and see Why Dickeys is your go to home away from home BBQ Experience

The lady at the front suggested the pulled pork. It's pretty good! I was a bit unsure of their sauce setup in the middle of a pandemic, but everything looked INCREDIBLY clean. The original barbecue sauce was a bit society than expected, but I like spicy so I'm good with that. The only downside (according to my husband) is that the coleslaw left something to be desired.

I have heard a lot of bad reviews about this place and I think that some of them are not objective. One of the most common blasts I heard was regarding portion size. Although I eat a lot, I can say that portions here are comparable to other meatery establishments that smoke their food. The cost is about the same as other establishments also. My visit was very good, the food tasted good and they have free ice cream and refills. If you want all you can eat meat, go to a Brazilian steakhouse or cook it at home. This place has my recommendation.

Thanks to a cincysavers deal we checked Dickey's out. The meat was outstanding. We had pulled pork, brisket, and spicy sausage. The sides were good but not great outside of the waffle fries. Free soft serve ice cream was a great surprise. A good alternative to City Barbecue. We will definitely eat here again.

Got a pulled pork sandwiches and two sides. Jalapeno Beans and fried Okra. The sandwich was good. The pulled pork was buttery soft and tender if just a little bit dry. They have three sauces here Original, Sweet, and Hot. The "Hot" has the least amount of flavor it is quite spicy but spice is the overwhelming flavor. The original and sweet tasted very similar. The sauce was a let down compared to City BBQ. The sides were great. It's a solid spot for lunch/dinner priced pretty low. Sandwich and two sides for 8.95. I'm sure I'll be back.

The Customer Service at this location was quite good. My pick-up order was on time as requested. The ribs were a little hit and miss but overall tasty. A few bones were on the dry side but others were cooked perfectly. The same is true for the brisket. Some slices were moist and tender but others were a touch dried out. The rub on the meat is amazing. Spot on flavor! I'd definitely buy a jar of it to use on my own 'que at home!
