Wiley's Trattoria

I love this place for the most part but very disappointed with the eggs Benedict. White part of the egg undercooked, eggs tasted like they were soaked in vinegar. The sautéed greens on the side were caked with black pepper. Lovely hash browned potatoes though. Stick with the pasta options! Can't go wrong.

Overall disappointment for dinner. The atmosphere was great and fresh to walk into with soft lighting and upscale attire. The friendly service was so-so at best with wait staff not knowing the specials, fumbling with the electronic ordering, and generally not having good cadence. Salads were brought out after entree's arrived and nothing flowed nicely. Food was sub-par with almost no flavor and poor quality. I really wanted this place to be awesome but it's not. Perhaps it's just new and working out kinks, but major changes are needed. I will try again perhaps for breakfast or lunch.

Wow, what a mess. Maybe the Sunday Brunch crew isn't ready for prime time? We were the only ones waiting for a seat but we waited nearly ten minutes to be seated. It took an hour for our food to come despite the fact that they were nearly empty. Not a word of "how are you doing" or "sorry for the wait" or "can we offer you a coffee" from our server while we waited. My husband's frittata and potatoes were burned, as was my toast. His toast was cold and barely toasted. My scrambled eggs and bacon were yummy, but everything on both our plates was jammed on a small plates with little care. Everyone had left the place by the time our food came. Then, despite saying they were open until 2, they turned away three parties looking to be seated at 1:40 p.m. and turned off the music while we were still finishing our meal, giving us the "bum's rush." It felt like we had inconvenienced them all by dining there. Someone needs to give further training on pacing in the kitchen and server etiquette for challenging situations.

Always delicious. I mean it. Just close your eyes and point to something on the menu and it will be a winner every time. Only suggestion I'd make is hire more servers. The poor girl we had kept getting sat over and over again with 0 help. She already had a 10-top of finicky people, but to have 5 more tables on top of that? She was practically set up for failure.
